Eagle Pack Natural Dry Large Breed Puppy Food, Lamb, Chicken & Fish Recipe, 30-Pound Bag

Switched from Blue Buffalo to Eagle. Kibble is bigger, which is fine. Our golden retriever is doing well on it. I cant tell if his coat is better, his coat has always been shiney, but we only fed him better quality dog foods. I read many reviews on Dog Guru before purchasing. The price is more reasonable for a 4 star rated dog food. I feel its a good quality and it agrees with our dog. He loves people food mixed in but will eat it plain. I like this is on auto ship so I can send it to my daughter at college. Its much cheaper than buying Blue or Taste of the Wild in the store. I like that it is for larger breeds and has some ingredients to help with their bone growth. I think its a great dog for for the price.

This food is manufactured by the same company that produces one of the most expensive/super high quality dog foods you can buy - "WELLNESS" ( to the best of my knowledge, although I am 99% certain).After comparing Eagle to Wellness - I could not notice a difference in the ingredients.Very, very high reviews from 99% of online dog food review sites - even though this is basically Wellness's generic version. It's very rare you can find a super high-end dog food for just over a dollar a pound. No comparison to the expensive foods so in your local pet shop in my opinion-example, Science Diet and MANY more!! My 180 pound Newfoundland loves it. Healthier skin, digestive system, etc - and although he is 11 years old it appears he has increased energy which is great to see.

UPDATE: I originally gave this 3 stars because I thought my dog didn't like it compared to other brands (see original review below), but I put a bowl of this kibble next to a bowl of Taste of the Wild (what I remember my dog liking) and he went for Eagle Pack!! So this stuff is cheaper than TOTW and my dog likes it better!! WIN WIN!! That makes this a 5 star review now because my dog's tummy likes it and he likes it over other brands! Will be purchasing this brand again very soon!!I've tried so many different brands of dog food, I can't even remember them all at this point. My dog is VERY picky so I keep trying to find a good natural dog food with no corn or wheat that he will actually eat. I'm giving this 3 stars because my dog's tummy likes it, but he doesn't. He's had soft poos for a long time on other dog food/homemade food/raw food, but when we switched to only feeding him this kibble, he started having normal #2's in a day or so. We've had other brands of dog food in the past that he liked better than this that also gave him normal stools. So it's great to know that this dog food is out there as a back-up, but it took my dog 2 days of not eating before even taking a bite. So I'm going to try and find another brand he likes better that his stomach also likes. All in all, it seems good for my dog, he just doesn't really like it very much.

Amazing food! I read some some online reviews that were based off of ingredients and ingredient sources - this brand of food ranked between a 95-100% quality (which ranked higher than Science Diet or Bil-Jac which I had been using). I started our Boerboel on the large breed puppy and moved her to large breed adult food at 1 year old and she has done absolutely amazing on it. Her coat is shiny/healthy and her joints don't miss a beat. After trying a couple bags we decided to try our overweight English Bulldog on the Eagle Pack weight reduction formula and proud to say he's lost almost 8 lbs. On his old food his coat would sometimes stink, but on Eagle Pack his coat is finally health and shiny and I haven't had to bathe him in months.

I am happy with this food. My son found and brought home a puppy about 2 months ago. He is not just a puppy, he is a giant puppy. He looks like a Bullmastiff. He is about 4 months old and weighs 40 pounds. His front paws are almost the size of my hand. Anyway, he was not wearing a collar. We tried to find his home but no one has claimed him and we have absolutely fallen in love with him. We are dog people and he is by far one of the best we have ever had. He is sweet, smart and so very gentle. My husband and I are getting older and already had 5 dogs. We did not want another one but "Max" has really stolen our hearts. I am a firm believer in feeding animals the best food I can so I did a little research on large and giant breeds. All of our other dogs are small so I needed some educating on the best food for Max. I was happy to find this one, made specifically for large and giant breed puppies. Max really likes it. This food is made in the US, which is important to me. Through my research, I found out that the company developed this food for Great Danes so there is some science behind its formulation. I am grateful for that.

one of my dogs has skin allergies. I switched them to natural lamb food and he didn't have problems for months. I tried this eagle puppy food to save a few bucks, and I got it on about 2/20. He's been on this food for about a week, and last night he was continuously licking his underbelly and whining. I saw he has a hot spot. I'm guessing it's the chicken meal. Anyway, the food is fine but not for my dog with skin allergiesUpdate: i found a robin fledgling with a broken leg absolutely loved this food soggy (im a wildlife rehab apprentice). he preferred this to other brands of dog food. put some in water and once its soggy, feed a half a piece at a time (using a stick or long tweezers). the robin ate 2-4 pieces total every half hour or so. Even with his broken leg, he made a complete recovery in just a few days. hes now back in the wild thanks to his preference for this food.

My Great Dane loves this food. After a lot of research I chose Eagle Pack Giant breed puppy food because it is a near perfect balance of everything a great dane needs to grow slow and healthy without getting too into it.Wish they sold this in more pet food stores in canada but ordering online is very easy and no hastles or problems.It comes in a cardboard box to protect the bag.

So happy with this food so far!! Have tried multiple foods for my Great Dane and it has been very difficult to get weight on and he has always struggled with dandruff. With this food, he is finally filling out and looking less skinny. His coat is the softest it has been. Very happy! Please continue to carry this, Amazon.ca !!

We have just recently changed our dogs food to Eagle and the ease of ordering off Amazon is awesome! So far, so good, he loves the food and we will continue.

On my second big bag and seems to work well for my lab mix puppy, No bad reactions.and his coat is shinny and smooth
