Eagle Pack Natural Pet Food, Original Adult Lamb Meal And Rice Formula For Dogs, 30-Pound Bag

Wish I could give this dog food a higher recommendation, but if the dogs will not eat it, well, how can I? The price is not bad, and the nutrition is acceptable (not great). Tried it a couple times, but will not buy it again.

We started feeding this to our four Boxers back in 1992. The dogs loved it and it reduced the amount of stool they produced. Two of the dogs had skin allergies and the lamb meal & rice worked well for them. I recently adopted an adult Boxer a few months ago and put her on the lamb meal & rice. She seems to like it; she has gained weight and her coat is much softer & glossier than it was when I adopted her. Overall, I'm very happy with this dog food.

My Sheltie didn't like this very much. He would eat it, but not eagerly, and he would leave it long enough that our cats, who like everything, would eat it. He prefers Purina ProPlan Shredded Blend.

I was looking for a dog food that wasn't all by products and something that wasn't coming from China. This brand quality for me compares with Wellness, Nutro, etc. Made in America and my dog LOVES it. I don't have to worry about a recall and his coat/teeth/nails look great! This dog food was recommended by our standard poodle's breeder. She feeds it to both her breeding dogs and her show dogs. Our dog loves it, and eats every bit of his breakfast, lunch and dinner right down.The breeder said for us to mix the food with a little warm water and a tablespoon of plain, unflavored, nonfat yogurt. My vet agreed, and said that the yogurt was an excellent addition. He also has standard poodles as his personal pets.As poodle owners know, the breed can be susceptible to a horrible stomach condition called "bloat." Feeding your poodle a top grade dog food on a regular schedule is very important for these lovely animals. This dog food fits the bill perfectly.It is interesting that this is an adult dog food, but the kibble is smallish, and if mixed with the warm water while the dog is a puppy, it can be used throughout the dog's life, once he/she is weaned. You do not need a puppy chow when the dog is young.This seller provides this food at a fair price, and ships promptly.Recommended.

My Westie was eating this food for several years, but then my pet food store stopped carrying it, so I switched her to another food. I soon noticed that her skin which was previously very clear (which is a good thing for a Westie), was getting scabby and bad (she is 4-1/2 years old). I went online to order this food, and now her skin, while not perfectly clear, is much much much better than it was a month or two ago. I am hopeful it will all clear up. I don't know why, but other foods seem to provoke skin problems. And I only purchase her very high quality foods. Plus she seems to like the flavor of this food more than others.....

My dogs no longer eat any kibble since it is mostly garbage.

We have three Wire Fox Terriers. Each one of them seem to be allergic to different brands of food. Luckily we found Eagle brand dog food and all three dogs manage to be able to consume this food with out any issues. There was one other brand of food that they could all eat and it was almost twice this price so we have been thrilled to death with this food, we've been using eagle now religiously for 2 years now.
