Clarks Women's Orinoco Spice Ankle Boots

These are great boots. They are leather - the ones I have are the matte black. The fit is perfect for me as I have a shallow instep and usually need boots laced up tight (I don't with these). The side zip makes it easier to get them on (although this part was quite snug, even for me) and you don't have the faff of undoing the laces. However, if you are anything above a slim to standard width I think these boots would be too tight unless you buy a wide fitting. I normally find a 7.5D fits in a Clarks shoe, but bought these in an 8D as it was all they had and they are perfect.The leather is soft but there is plenty of support and the boots are quite sturdy. I have worn these for work and been on my feet for eight hours in them and found them comfortable. They were a good price too, compared to Clarks own website.

I often buy Clarks brogues and they fit me well with only a short period of wearing in required, so I thought I'd try the boots. They look great and were incredibly good value. They are a little tighter than expected over the widest part of the toes, so I wonder if I need a wider fit. I massaged the leather as soon as I got them and put hard objects in the toes to stretch them out and that has helped. I also loosened the laces over the toes and tightened them over the ankles for a better fit. Only been to the shops and back once and worn them around the house but so far, so good. I can feel they might give me blisters at the heels if I walk much further and the leather still pinches over the toes where the boot bends, so I will wear them in more. I have other boots much the same, of a different make, and those have fake fur and/or soft, woolly material on the insides, adding to the warmth. The Clarks boots are much like the brogues in terms of the insoles and insides of the boot, with no fur or soft material, so not especially warm but fine in the winter with two pairs of socks. I applied waterproofing spray, just in case but they look like they will keep the rain out. They will come in handy when I finally wear through my other boots and I can see myself wearing them every day.

I've had these nearly 10 years now and they're still like new even though I wear them all the time. Like all good boots, you need to break them in, they most likely won't be comfortable until you do, but once you do they are very comfortable.A bit of the inner leather at the top isn't real (the rest is) and some of that wore away a bit, but it's really not a problem, you can't see it and it was more decorative than functional anyway. You'll be getting these resoled every 10 years and asking your grandkids if they want you to leave them to them in the will.Clarks: please make them in more colours.

Bought half a size large as I had read reviews about tighter fit and, indeed, when they came they were laced so tight I couldn't squeeze my hand in, let alone my foot. I removed laces and started again but was still concerned over tight fit over the top of my foot. The first time I wore them I went out armed with plasters, just in case, but they were not needed. I forgot I was wearing new boots - they are just lovely! I love the colour, they fit fine ( although maybe longer laces would help) - I'm very pleased

Love these boots.... They fit well, look great, are warm and comfortable.I'd deff recommend them or buy them again.The only thing I would say is that they are a slim fit so can be a slight squeeze to put on but once on are fine.So if you have slightly wider feet just be aware of that.

Fit perfectly. Very comfortable. Not a single blister. Not even a sore spot. All round perfection for an ankle boot! So much so that I bought 3 different colours.

I was SO looking forward to receiving these boots (I was so in love with them online that I bought TWO pairs!!) - but what a disappointment?!!!I'll start with the 'BAD'....THEY ARE RIDICULOUSLY SMALL!I have worn Clarks footwear - of all shapes and styles - in 7.5D, for YEARS! To allow for thicker socks, and having read a lot of reviews saying they came up small/narrow, I ordered a size 8 (8wide not available, and 9 seemed excessive).I felt like an 'ugly sister', trying to force my feet into a boot that felt like it was a size 6!!!!Wore them around the house for HOURS trying to warm them up and to stretch them a bit but the the LENGTH was ALWAYS going to be too short....Finally gave in and, with a broken heart, returned both pairs!!😥😥BUT... I must say, they are GORGEOUS BOOTS!! Albeit a bit stiff! This would obviously soften in time, so not a problem for me.I LOVED the fact that you could customise the fit with the laces, and then pop them on and off using the side zip - genius!They look great - really wanted the chunky military look, but with a feminine twist- and these boots are just that. The shape of the toe means they don't look particularly 'manly'.. !!Overall, I was HUGELY disappointed at the FIT of these boots - NOT a 'classic' sizing, they felt like they weren't sized for the european market - but the style and design are BEAUTIFUL!!!Although they weren't built for ME don't let that put you off! If you have a NARROW foot, give them a go!!!

I originally bought a pair of these boots years ago, they were so comfortable, wore for festivals, walks, winter and summer until the sole was worn and they fell apart.Was over the moon to find them online again after a failed attempt to break in some DMs.True to size, I like the laces really loose and they still fit perfectly due to zip on side.

these boots ran true to size and are super high quality! they were a little tight initially but they wore in within a couple days. Love them!

Ces chaussures Clarks sont d'excellente qualité. J''ai la même paire en noir et elle est inusable. Franchement, elles valent leur prix. De plus, il y a moyen de les acheter par demi-pointure. Ich habe diese Stiefel vor gut 15 Jahren in Wales schon einmal gekauft und habe sie dadurch ungewöhnlich lange testen können, als fast einziges Paar Schuhe das ich seitdem gebraucht habe. Sie wurden fast ununterbrochen getragen und geschunden, zum Wandern benutzt, durch Matsch und Wälder gezogen, sauber gemacht und ins Büro angezogen, und immer mit Lederfett gepflegt, und sie halten an sich IMMER NOCH, nur sehen sie natürlich über den Zehgelenken ein bisschen faltig aus. Nun habe ich beschlossen, für's Büro könnten ein paar neue her, außerdem sind die Alten inzwischen von sentimentalem Wert. Und sie sind so gut gewesen, dass ich dieselben wieder wollte.Ich gebe zu, wenn ich nicht verglichen hätte, hätte ich nicht gedacht, dass ich dieselbe Größe bekommen habe, sie sind anfangs wirklich sehr eng, unbequem, schmerzhaft und mussten intensiv eingelaufen werden, drei Wochen kleine Spaziergänge. Inzwischen passen sie aber wie gewohnt, wie sprichwörtlich angegossen, man muss bei Leder halt etwas Geduld haben.Mit ein bisschen Pflege halten diese Stiefel ewig, sind dicht, reißen nicht, die Sohle hält sich tapfer gegen so ziemlich alles, und sie sind sehr bequem wenn man sie eingelaufen hat. Diese Dinger sind für die Ewigkeit und tun von September bis Mai ununterbrochen jeden Tag klaglos ihren Dienst. Wem Umweltschutz am Herzen liegt, spart euch zwanzig Paar Plastikschuhe und nehmt solche.
