PROS: The product description is correct that it doesn't add any additional noise which is rare for an ungated compressor. The "level" knob is pretty cool too if you want to use it as a booster.CONS: The 9v power input is an unconventional shape and won't work with a regular pedalboard or daisy chain power so you have to use the adapter that comes with the pedal which is a little annoying for a live setup. As a compressor, it only works well for light, short compression. If you set the "punch" or the "compression" higher than 9 o'clock it pumps really bad. This isn't as much of an issue when I use my non-active bass so maybe a -9db switch would be a good feature to add to the pedal. For such a big pedal with a heavy, metal box you would think it would be indestructible. I take pretty good care of my pedals but this one had to be repaired after a year of light use because the power supply input broke.
