12 BOTTLES! Busha Browne’s Traditional Jerk Seasoning Rub, 4oz.

A local (San Francisco) gourmet grocery store carried this brand and preparation (wet paste) for years but then did not. I've been in love with it since buying the first jar. Now it's not easy to find locally so I am thrilled that I can buy it from Amazon and Amazon Smile! AND, the price is better here! If you like the taste of Jerk seasoning, this thick sauce, almost a paste, is excellent to use. I marinate chicken breasts in it, sometimes overnight (poke holes in the meat first), then braise it in a covered pan with the liquid left from the braise (I use a Hefty zip-top bag) and add rice with the correct amount of water for steaming (1:3 ratio more or less) (I use local basmati) and cover and bake in oven at 350 degrees F for about 45 minutes - then test to see rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed by the rice and chicken is tender. EASY, excellent. I use one whole jar for two or three half-breasts (boneless and skinless). Super, terrific result.l

This seasoning reminds me of the "Jerk Shack" we had on Guatanamo Bay Naval Base. Really great flavor with the right amount of heat every time. I marinade my chicken with a mix of one jar of Busha Brown's, 1/2 cup of canola oil (used to rinse out the jar) and one fresh squeezed lime, in a bag, shaken to well coat the chicken, then refrigerate overnight to cook the next day on the grill. Perfection!

BB’s jerk is the best. Close to what we had in Jamaica and local recommendation of what to get in the CONUS.

I love Busha Browne's jerk paste. It is smoky and spicy.....adds just the right jerk flavor to any dish that I use it in.

Mild and spicy that doesn't burn at both end. Nice salt balance make any meat marinated in it bring it to another level of taste, delicious!
