Like Butter
It cut a hole in my concrete counter top like it was warm butter.

Cut through a brick wall beautifully.
I tried a carbide tipped core bit to cut a hole in a brick wall for a MrCool line set. It failed. So I ordered one of these and it cut beautifully through in a few minutes. I had to stop about halfway through to chisel out brick as the diamond core bit didn’t have the full depth needed. I’m very pleased with this product.

Bath tub grab bar install project
Summary: Adding a few grab bars to dad's shower. I used a lot of products for this project, so including all related products in this review.Recommendation:1) When mounting grab bars, it's always easier if you can find the stud to attach to. In this vertical install, I decided to use a stud and Wing-Its anchors; partially because I wasn't sure I could hit both, and didn't want to put two fasteners vertically (on either the right or left only), but that would also position the bar in the shower a little too far in (towards the shower control).2) The WingIts requires a 3/4" hole through the mounting material. For tile, this can be especially challenging. I used the SHDIATOOL diamond 3/4" bit, with the DRILLAX adapter to get through the tile, and then used the 3/4" BOSCH bit to finish through the dry wall. Also used the BOSCH bits for the other small hole. Having the right tool for the job is the difference between project completion, and a messy, disaster.Related Products:Moen R8924P Home Care 24-Inch Concealed Screw Bath Safety Bathroom Grab Bar, Peened ~ $30Pros: Moen name, includes stainless screws.Cons: None. Conclusion: 5-starshttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EI0TJ4Structural Grab Bar WingIts, PK2 ~ $14Pros: Heavy duty, highly rated.Cons: Cost ($7/anchor).Conclusion: 4-stars (cost)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004CCRJWOSHDIATOOL Diamond Core Drill Bits 3/4 Inch ~ $13Pros: Right tool for the job, looked brand new after drilling two holes (with proper technique, including cool water).Cons: None. Conclusion: 5-starshttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07213KCN9Drilax Core Drill Bit Arbor Adapter ~ $15Pros: Allows SHDIATOOL bit to be used with drill (instead of angle grinder).Cons: Cost (a little expensive). Conclusion: 4-stars (cost)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0737H7CMXBOSCH GT3000 Carbide Hammer Drill Bit Set ~ $25Pros: Cuts great; carrying case.Cons: None. Conclusion: 5-starshttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001GNC8RS

Impressive
I ordered these 1/4” core bits because the ones I normally use weren’t available in time to finish drilling 18 holes the material I was drilling is an 1 and an 1/8” thick natural quartzite which is harder then granite and hard to drill through I drilled 8 holes with one before I burned it and the other 10 with the other i typically use water to keep the bits from burning up but since these were cheap and pretty much “throwaways” I didn’t bother to take any care of them all in all I think these aren’t half bad at all I’m sure under normal use and with a bit of water to keep them from burning up

Great but only used it for 1 hole
Had to make a hole for shower mixer valve and it worked fairly well. I did have to create a guide for it with a piece of plywood cutting out a 2 inch diameter hole using wood hole saw to use as a guide as this one does not have guide. It did a pretty good job. Use a little bit of water to keep the dust down. Not sure how long it will last but for my project it worked well.

Great for Brick
This worked quickly for my brickwork. I am installing a high efficiency furnace that requires 2" nominal PVC pipe. Outside pipe measurement is 2 3/8" diameter. The 2.5" hole saw worked perfectly and made clean cuts through the brick. I had to stop half way and hit the brick with a chisel to crack off the end allowing the bit to get deeper into the brick. However, it had no issues picking up where it left off and grinding out the brick. I used a 4amp angle grinder -- this bit attaches directly to a standard angle grinder bit. 4amps worked good for my purposes -- 2 holes. However, with pressure the 4amp slowed down at times. I think a higher amperage angle grinder would drill through a solid brick in 2-5 minutes easily. Great for jobs around the house.

Good quality.
Drilled 20 or so holes in (24x48") backsplash tile for our kitchen. amazingly smooth and quick to cut these with my angle grinder. Love this tool!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
I purchased this hole cutter to bore through a ceramic tiled shower, for a new mixer valve. It cut through the ceramic tile with ease, and cut through the cement backer board like it was butter. When I finished, this hole saw still looks like it's new.

Excellent for granite
Great tool. I used it to bore a couple holes though a 1.5" granite veneer on an ICF basement wall. Did an excellent job, minimal heating and no vibration. Easy to start on an uneven surface.
