First, this is simply a jar with a good screened metal lid and a piece of wire, some seeds, period. It's worth not more than 15 bucks if you consider the organic seeds, and I see it advertised in places for over 25. Not worth that amount. For people with difficulty sprouting, I have found two things essential: rinsing often--5 or 6 times a day, not twice as is sometimes recommended, and air circulation. Don't put it face down on a counter, plate, tray or even use the tiny tilt wire which I believe doesn't allow for enough airflow. You can drain it well, then put it on its side, rotating it in between rinses, or put it on an over the sink drain rack if you put the jar completely upside down, or put the jar on a cell phone stand ,whatever works to allow air flow into the jar. I also use filtered water. Chlorine and fluoride could be affecting the seeds. Good luck, hope this helps.

I'm new to sprouting and this kit is super simple to use, super easy to clean, and takes up practically no room on my kitchen counter. I put 2 Tablespoons of sprouting seeds in the provided jar, close the jar with the provided mesh lid, fill the jar with water, and let sit overnight on the kitchen counter. Twice a day for the next three days I pour out the old water, fill with fresh water, swish the contents around, pour the water out, and place the jar upside down on the provided rack on the kitchen counter. All of this happens without once removing the lid. On the fourth day the jar is full of beautiful sprouts, so I pour out any water, remove the lid, pour the sprouts into a colander, rinse, pour the sprouts onto a dry towel, pat dry, put all the sprouts into a plastic tub, and place in the refrigerator. The sprouts are fresh and scrumptious and last for several days. They taste wonderful plain, on a sandwich, or in a salad. My husband loves them too. The simplicity of this process combined with the fun of watching the seeds sprout combined with having an edible result is amazing!

The lid and jar are great. I purchased this at the same time as two others and this is the only one that is showing no signs of rusting. The seeds sprouted but I was just looking for broccoli so I didn't use the whole pack. I have no idea what the bent wire is for.

Very high quality product! I can't usually even get fake plants to stay alive. But this was easy enough that I was able to actually grow sprouts! I can't believe it! And now I eat Avocado and sprout sandwiches almost every day. I love that the metal doesn't rust, and it feels so durable. I will be buying more of these!

Sprouts are a wonderfully nutritious food and very easy to grow.

This was a very fun experiment. Sprouts grew from seed to salad in about 4 days. Kind of a fun adventure to see them grow so much in just the course of a day. Tasty!

It’s a great sprouting kit and is easy to clean. I liked it so much I gifted one to my mum. I am just hoping the lid doesn’t rust after continued use.
