The Prophetic Voice of God: Learning to Recognize the Language of the Holy Spirit

Listening in Prayer is Powerful
Lana is an excellent writer with clear concise thoughts. Nothing is better than praying and listening to God our Father. His Word is alive and available for those that listen. Her book is wonderfully filled with insights on listening to God with humility.I would warn anyone who has insights into the immediate future to beware because this is not how God typically prophecies. The enemy can impersonate the spiritual gifts so always confirm prophecy with scripture. Also just because numbers, incidents, and things reappear in your life in a series does not mean this is from God. I would discourage you from being led down this path the enemy can use so easily. Her statement "God will never speak to you in a way that brings condemnation." Is not true for hypocrites. She is right concerning a humble forgiven Saint who only knows our Father's love. We can assume her teaching is for pure saints who are forgiven. The short section on not casting pearls before swine should be noted. Often God will give you a personal word that you should not share with others, especially those not filled with the Holy Spirit. The section Love Changes Everything is powerful. This principle changed my life when I really saw how much God loves me, so now I can truly love others. Excellent word on hungering and thirsting after the voice of our Father. We are thankful for the Holy Spirit that gives us eyes to see and ears to hear the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven. Good advice to wait on God for miracles every day which are often His word. Also excellent advice to focus on the Word of love from above ignoring the old lies of the serpent.I struggle in the Spirit with her words "divine interruption" because to interrupt is to obstruct someone speaking. Our Father in Heaven speaks continuously like a living fountain. How can we insinuate His word obstructs, interrupts or stops anything? His words flow with love, comfort, and peace.Excellent section on how our Father loves the process of working in our lives to reveal His true reality.Review by John H Nye, author of "Becoming a Son in Christ: Building a Relationship with the Father" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08SPJRRFC

Buy This For All of Your Baptist Friends - Seriously!
I come from a multi-generational ministry family full of Baptist and Methodist pastors. My family were founding fathers and mothers in religions that did not believe in prophetic gifts and I come from an extensive line of theologians who argued the validity of God's word and theology from pulpits and in books. So, I completely understand how the word "prophetic" can make every Baptist and believer in the cessation of select spiritual gifts theology cringe and cry "heretic".Do not be afraid. Seriously. I would never support any writing that I did not believe was from God and of God and this is definitely one of the best teaching tools on how to HEAR God's voice and how to listen to Holy Spirit speaking that I have ever read.I, with my multi-hundred years of generational cessations background, loved every word, sentence and page of this book and felt God echoing that prophecy and His voice are for the edification, exhortation, and comfort of the Body of Christ. I was surprised to find myself writing "Me Too!" beside the margins of almost every experience Lana had and I had plenty more that she did not mention in this book (as I am certain she does too).God loves His children. We are beloved sons and daughters that He speaks to all the time and uses each of us in the Body of Christ to strengthen each other. My role in this calling to equip the Body at this specific moment of time and place as I write this review is to encourage you to read Lana's book. If you tend to cringe at the word "prophetic". don't. As you read, ask God to show you if you've had a different word to define what Lana calls "prophetic" and let God speak to you in incredible ways. You will find that His answer for you may surprise you.If you read the book and hated it for a reason other than cessation theology - let me know by responding to my review. Prove to me that you bought the book and talk to me about why you hated it and I will buy you another Christian book of your choice, or, if you trust me, I will pick one out for you. I am so certain about this book being a game-changer for you that I am willing to as it’s said to, "put my (God's) money where my mouth is".If you read this book and love it and it is everything I reviewed it to be, I highly encourage you to share it with someone who needs to know God and receive love from a Father who faithfully pursues all His children and desires relationship with us. Authors like Lana make telling others about God and the salvation He has for us easier - simply share the book!

Encouraging yet heart rending, this book fires up one's cold heart to seek the One who sought us.
I loved the short chapters because I could only take in so much and cry so many tears at one time. Ms. Vawser shares personal victories and painful prunings so humbly and earnestly. After each earth moving chapter, there is a prayer offering the opportunity to receive, to decree to believe. This was good. She so well and sincerely reveals the beauty and love of our Father and Jesus, the radiance of His glory. One thing of many that I learned and have consistently embraced from then on is to receive every word (logos or rhema) with delight, expectation, reverent awe, and lingering. Each word fine tuned for each of us is a treasure and if received will transform, ignite, cleanse, deliver, and impart His divine nature in fuller ways. INTIMATE is not for undergarment apparel as the world perceives but is conjugal union with our God. I was looking for a book with practices and insight in to hearing God more clearly, more readily. I know of Ms. Vawser's ministry and prophetic gifting and was not disappointed. I actually typed 6 pages of study notes on this book. If you, too, want a closer deeper more communicative relationship with the Lord, this is transforming. DO NOT feel like you are not spiritual enough. None of us are. But Jesus is more than enough. Amen? Sarah from Wildomar, Ca.

A wonderful book to deepen your relationship with Jesus.
I am a Catholic and have always believed that the spiritual gifts are for today unlike some cessationist Protestants. I was looking for something that would teach me more practically on prophecy and how to grow deeper in this gift, instead the book I felt was more about having a hunger to be sold out for God and to not put God in a box in how He speaks to us. Furthermore there was some raw vulnerability in the book that really helped me in the painful process of santification that the good Lord is currently taking me on. Reading this book came at the right time when I feel I am on the edge of moving into a new season of breakthrough and blessing. It’s a beautiful gem this book and I feel it will be something that I will refer to again and again for the rest of my life to deepen my prayer and Sacramental journey. Thank you Lana for sharing your moving journey, thank you Jesus.

I loved this book. Lana is frank, real and passionate. It energised, excited, Encouraged and reawakened me for more of my beautiful Lord. I would recommend it to everyone to make them realise that not only can they go deeper in Christ but that Jesus wants and waits for us to come away with Him. Hallelujah.
