The mat appears to be sturdy and is working well, but it didn't unroll on its own at room temperature. It took 4 days, weighting it down before it was flat enough to use and there's still a bit of a tendency to roll in it. I'm guessing with use, this will go away. Definitely worth the money, but I wish they hadn't shipped it so tightly rolled. Plan on warming it up and weighting it down for a few days before use.

I use this mat in my home office. I'm at my computer most of the day - we live in a rental apartment so it's important to me to preserve our carpeting and my expensive desk chair. We have a standard pile carpet and this mat slips around A LOT, even with the weight of my desk chair and a footstool on top of it. It doesn't grip on the carpet at all. I've had the mat down since mid-October and have had to completely readjust and reposition it three times now. Splurge a little more and buy a higher quality product!

Like all plastic products, it smells funny when first opened. But the odor dissipates and my nose accommodates.

Not as hevay duty as i would have like for it to be for the price.

Not as thick and firm as I’d hoped. My chair still struggles to move across the mat because the mat is thin.

Despite the "heavy duty" label, this mat is way too thin to function properly on anything less than very thin carpet. It took about 15 minutes to unroll and pin down, and after all that, my chair was unable to roll across the mat without significant effort.

I bought this because it said it was good for medium pile carpet but it is not. It would be fine for no or low pile. It is flimsy on the carpet. Unfortunately I will be returning it.

Strong mat. It takes a while to completely flatten out (comes rolled up). I like that it's not obvious when I walk into my home office.
