Part of the Emslie family from Clarks collection, the Emslie Monet is a beautiful ankle boot. This boot has cute button detailing and a bit of stretch as well as an inside zip. Sitting atop just over 2 inches.

Runs long and narrow
Decent-looking boots, but they run very narrow. The wide width fits like a medium. A bit long on the length as well. Also keep in mind that the ankle opening is bigger than it appears, so they don't look great with skinny jeans or tights. Unfortunately, these are going back.

Runs Large (Long), But Otherwise Great
I'm between an 8.5 and a 9, and because I wear thicker socks with boots, I decided to order the 9. It seems to be at least a half size larger than that in length. Fortunately, because of the bootie construction, my feet are kept in place rather than sloshing around. I don't find these booties too narrow, as other reviewer have, but I can tell by looking that a medium-width foot toward the wide end might feel squeezed. For my solidly medium foot, the width is fine, even when I wear thick socks. Since the booties are leather, I expect them to loosen anyway with wear.I love the antique brass button accents, and the ease with which the zipper opens and closes. Because the booties rise up straight from the point where foot meet ankle, the opening can appear flared, especially for skinny legs, but it also can accommodate larger calves. These are comfortable and well-made. I almost sent them back because of the sizing, but because I bought them with a deal, I decided to keep them. I'm glad I did.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

... ankle and have not been able to wear any nice shoes/boots for over a year without experiencing some pain
I recently recovered from a broken ankle and have not been able to wear any nice shoes/boots for over a year without experiencing some pain. I wore these boots all day! The size, width, and price was just right. They look great with pants, jeans, and legging. I am enjoying my purchase.

so I think the strange sizing will be fine. But be warned
This is a weirdly sized bootie. I wear a size 8, ordered a size 8, and I found that the toe/foot area fit me perfectly. The heel area, and the ankle area, were too big though - I don't know quite how that could even happen. I can't order a size up, because the toe and foot area would then be way too big. I'm keeping them, because I want to wear thick socks in the winter with them, so I think the strange sizing will be fine. But be warned, they're oddly constructed.

Strange fit
These fit much differently from all my other Clarks heels in the same size. I have pretty narrow feet and have never worn a wide shoe, but these were way too narrow for my foot. The leather is also very stiff and uncomfortable, with almost a plastic-y feel to it. I love the style but unfortunately these are going back.

Very nice women's dress boots that can fit an orthotic.
Bought these for the 'just in case I need something dressy' to go with dress slacks and they will fit the bill nicely. There is ZERO arch support in these boots, but the insole removes easily (it is a bit sticky due to the foam padding on the underside, but pulls out easily and without tearing) to fit an orthotic insole. I tried both a Superfeet green insole and a pair of arch support insoles from a pair of Vionic slip ons and both fit into the boots easily and only made them slightly tighter across the instep. Thankfully, the leather should stretch with a few days wear, so this shouldn't be an issue. These boots are definitely meant to be worn with a thin sock, something on the order of most men's dress socks or a women's trouser sock (both worked for me when I tried them on and walked around). NOTE: these boots are fairly narrow while still within the 'medium' range, so keep that in mind if you have slightly wider feet. The length is true to size.

Love Clarks booties
This bootie has a little wider toe area than most I had tried; very comfortable and nicely made.

Nice style, a bit tight for wide style.
I ordered these in 10W. My actual size is 9.5 in many brands like Rockport, or 9W in other brands. Clark's shoes tend to run smaller than other brands and also narrower, so I ordered a 10W. It is still a bit tight. Fits more like a medium width than a wide width, and harder to get my foot into it, but once on it feels comfortable. I hope it stretches out a bit with time in the width. Right now I avoid wearing it as it takes so much time to get on with warmer socks. Once the weather warms up and I can put on thinner summer/stocking socks I will probably wear them more often as they will be easier to slip on.However, as the others have said the length is a bit longer than normal so they may slip a bit when I put on thinner socks, I might put a bit of foam padding in the toe box in that case. It's so hard to find shoes that fit and are comfortable at work all day, so I will keep these, but I wish they made the wide width true to size.

Size is too small
I was disappointed with the size but that does not take away from the fact the boat is AMAZING! I love it and would like to get it in a bigger size. I am reaching out to the seller to ask about getting a replacement that is bigger. I am a size 12 and got a size 11 medium.

Beaucoup trop de lousse
Le soulier n'adhère pas au pied, beaucoup de lousse en ayant choisi la pointure qu'il me faut. (10)Bref, le style ne fait pas un beau pied.
