A very funny read
I brought this for my 4 and a half year old. It is a very funny book. Children just love all the 'popping off' and my daughter loves to make the sounds, a great book to get into when reading, you can do all the voices and say together "pooh! is that you Bertie"All kids love books about anything naughty so they will love this, my mum (nanny) read this and was giggling too! Some wonderful pictures the dog is great as is the cat, sister Suzy is really funny, has a wonderfully subtle nod to Picasso. All in all a great book for girls and boys, mums and dads, grandmas and grandpas! - Oh and a really funny book to give the 'posh' relatives to read to the children!!

My little boy loves this book
Come on, we all know we let a little gas off once in a while.I know the majority of people will read this review and tell me to grow up. Every now and again its good to be silly and have a giggle with your little ones. Its not like on a regular daily basis I talk about flatulance with my child. But, with following one little boys adventure of how its not only him but other family members who let rip, this book can be a huge laugh. It tempts the reader to try out different voices for Grandma, Mum, Dad and big sister Suzie along with making an attempt to put your own sounds to the "boffs" and "poots" that all emit from their rear ends - not to mention the cat that goes "pip" and the dog who wafts his smell about! All in all a very fun read which leaves your little one wanting more.Buy it! Its a hoot! (lol)

Funny and cheeky
So there's not much of a plot. However My 4 year old nephew went through a stage of not really being interested in books. This worried his parents as they're both dyslexic and don't want him to find books a chore the way they were for them but want him to find them fun and interesting.I got him this and Dirty Bertie as presents. The cheeky toilet humour made both him and my brother laugh and are now his favourite bedtime books.I don't like to sexually stereotype as I know little girls who like these books too. However they are a great way to get young boys interested in books

Simply hilarious!!
This book is read every day by my 3 year old granddaughter. It is hilarious and deals with poots, boffs, parps, bottom burps and all the noises and smells that every human makes! Also recommended is Dirty Bertie which is absolutely wonderful.Kids love anything to do with things adults don't talk about! These books hit the spot and I can't recommend them enough - go buy them and see for yourself! Your kids will love them !!!GUARANTEED !!!

We know that dog
My son aged 2 1/2 received this book as a Christmas present and it is already a favourite. We giggle together and will admit to recognising the dog's behaviour at least ! At this age you are entering into all the potty time euphemisms anyway and the phrases used are no worse. It is also a useful introduction to the notion that some behaviours ie laughing at toilet humour are not acceptable to all generations. The illustrations are wonderfully detailed eg the everton mint sticking out of grandma's pocket.

Entertaining book - Pooh! Is that you Bertie?
Great book to read with my granddaughter. Funny and entertaining.when the first book arrived non of the noises worked, so I contacted the supplier and this was remedied without no trouble and I was able to return the book without no fuss and new one was supplied. I was impressed at the speed this was able to happen.
