Not worth the price

The media could not be loaded.  This tool looks simple but it is uniquely engineered to get a lot of leverage from a small handle. It can cut 1/4 inch round mild steel, however one has to use a least a medium degree of effort. It depends on the hand strength of the person. The jaws looks sharp and hard. I made three cuts in 1/4 inch steel and the jaws did not dent or chip. It can also cut hard wire of smaller diameter. It does what the manufacturer said it could do although as stated above some effort has to be applied to cut 1/4 steel.

One of those tools that just feels right in your hand. Solid, well crafted and excellent hi-leverage design that performs as well as cutters that are much larger. Cuts through 16D nails like butter.

I liked everything about these small bolt cutters. The price seemed high compared to those I'd owned before, but once I used them I understood why they cost more.I work on aircraft a lot, and have the need to trim and cut a variety of steel bindings, wires and occasionally a rivet stem or shank. This cutter does it all properly first time.Don't buy the cheapies like I did. Invest in Knipex cutters. You won't be sorry.

Been using these for cutting thick, solid core galvinated rods. This little tool is like a tiny bolt cutter, and works very well. Satisfying cut through the material. I wasn't expecting it to work as well as it does. Will be buying from this brand again in the future.
