I bought one of these to use at my bar since we are not able to deep fry anything and I've been blown away by how great the results are...We have done fries, wings, veggie burgers and they have all come out beautifully (after a little experimenting with cooking times, tossing things during cooking, turning things over during cooking etc)...And we have barely scratched the surface as far as what this air fryer can do...Our paying customers are incredulous when we tell them that the items aren't deep fried, they really cannot tell the difference...Golden brown, crispy french fries with virtually no oil (2 tblsps of olive oil for a 2# bag of fries) - it's a dream come true...Things like chicken wings cook in their own fat, you don't need any oil at all...If I had to nitpick I'd say I do wish the unit was bigger since we're using it in a commercial context, and some of the cooking times can be a little long for our purposes (we get around this by par-cooking things in advance)...Still it's incredibly versatile, easy to use, easy to clean, quiet, and relatively compact and easy to store - and all for $100...Great device, one of my best friends will definitely find one of these under their Christmas tree this year!

This thing lives on my counter top. I hand wash it all the time but it does great in the dishwasher. Bought this in October 2018 and I use it nearly daily for nearly everything - shrimp, drumsticks, wings, pickles, zucchini, radishes, veggie mixes, frozen foods, fresh foods, need to warm up and re-crisp foods. The only thing I haven't tried yet is a whole chicken, but I bet 100% that will also come out amazing. I love this thing and is my absolute favorite kitchen appliance ever made. I even got one for my mom! Don't hesitate, buy this now!Mar 2020 Update: The markings on the top have been rubbed off from use. I don't remember a lot of the cooking times it listed but that's ok. Fryer is still going strong, I still absolutely love it! No problems to this day, still easy to clean, and works like a charm years later.

After being bombarded online, in-store, and by my wife, I pulled the trigger and bought this unit. The color and design is a classic look that compliments the look of my kitchen; unlike some other counter-top kitchen appliances that stick out like a sore thumb! It's first use was for a little tail-gate preparation, and although I don't think my wife had 'fun' while doing the work, it sure made it quick and easy work of frying lumpia (egg rolls) and beef skewers. The skewers came out wonderfully; crispy outside with a juicy middle, just as if it were on the grill (sans the charred taste). I will admit, we did have to adjust the temp/time while finding the perfect temperature for the lumpia, resulting in some lost rolls and some saddened family members. However, I'm confident the next batch will yield a larger result. We eventually used about a quarter-sized amount of oil when cooking the lumpia; it helped the outside turn nice and crispy. Would definitely recommend playing with the air fryer to familiarize yourself with cook times and temperatures before committing to a whole meal in the fryer.

I researched air fryers for weeks, put off by other products which had reviews stating that the product produced chemical smells or pieces of the product broke or wore off within days of use. After viewing what seemed like an endless supply of sub par products, I stumbled across this one. It had great reviews and photos of the food looked delicious. I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my mother. After unboxing it with her we tested it out on mozzarella sticks, french fries, popcorn shrimp, chicken nuggets, and chicken tenders. Every single item we tested tasted just like it had been deep fried except without all the messy grease. It was amazing.This air fryer has presets for certain foods, but you can adjust the presets to your liking manually, changing the time or temperature. It's a good idea to pay attention to other reviewers and to the instruction manual which states the best way to use the air fryer on certain foods (not filling it up too full & taking out the basket to shake it up after a few minutes to help evenly cook the food). I was surprised at how much food actually fit in the stainless steel basket (another plus, as it shouldn't flake off any coating). It has plenty of room to cook a good amount of whatever it is you're making. You're not going to stick an entire turkey in there or anything but there's plenty of room to make the usual deep fried items. Overall a 5/5 purchase for me.

I bought this air fryer 6 weeks ago. I use it often and love the way it works. However, For the past week, it turns on but does not work. I have to unplug it, move it around and when I almost gave up on it, it started to work again. It has done this 3 times now over the past week and I did not have any problems until then. I have been using it the same way in the same area. It is just past the 30 day limit with amazon to try and swap it out for another machine but will try contacting them anyway. When it does work, it is a great product and makes food crispy. I love the fact that it has a stainless steel basket. The touch controls are very easy to use. It is large enough that it takes 3 cycles to make 2 to 2.5 lbs of chicken nuggets without overlapping them. It takes 15 mins per cycle to "fry" them.

so in love with the Vanaheim fryer! it's easy to use and cleaning is a breeze!! i finally decided to jump on the air frying band wangon and so HAPPY i chose the vanaheim fryer! the price is great and the quality is superior! i couldn't be happier! gone are the day of baked fish sticks and french fries! yes, life was that sad before my air fryer days! i want to eat fried food every night and so tempted to because it requires so little oil for a nice tasty fry!
