AWESOME yoga mat!!!
I usually don't write a lot of reviews, but this mat deserves a write-up. I have been looking for a new yoga mat for about four months. I have researched on line, looked in magazines, talked to people in my yoga class about their mat. I wanted a comfortable mat, thick enough to provide some cushion but not so thick it would affect my stability. I wanted a super sticky mat so my feet didn't slide in Prasarita Padottanasana. I wanted an extra long mat so I wouldn't have to readjust myself as often. And being an artist and a very visual person, I wanted a colorful beautiful mat. Alas, only my first three wishes were granted...didn't get the color / graphics I would have liked but seriously, this is an awesome mat! Superb Yoga Mat
I love this Yoga Mat! I have found that the black side works better for me when holding down dog for a long time because I sweat a lot and it helps to provide a better grip. On the Grey cushion side, my hands slip more. I have had this for about two months and use it 6 times a week. It is a great yoga mat!!! It took me a few workouts to figure out which side works best for which workouts, but once you figure out what works best for your body you can't go wrong!!!

Great mat!
This mat is far more "sticky" than other mats I have used, to the point that I feel more secure using it and my yoga practice is better as a result. I hadn't realized that I felt somewhat insecure on other mats until I tried this one and felt the difference. I aired it out on a porch for a few days and there was no bothersome smell, and I am very sensitive. Have had to air out other mats for much longer. At first I thought I'd rather have a more colorful mat, but after using this one, I realize that color is not important at all, compared to how it feels to use it. Love this mat!

low-key and comfortable, my first (and second) real yoga mat
This is the second Ashram mat I have purchased in 2 years. The price has gone up but it still seems worth it. The mat has a soft, rubbery feel and is more comfortable than most mats at this price or lower. If you are sweating heavily you will probably slip some on this mat but the non-Bikram crowd should not have too much trouble. I still use my original Ashram mat but that mat has a few spots of wear and light 'shredding' where my foot rests during Warrior II and Prasarita Padottanasana. I'd expect an 18-month lifespan with heavy use. The low-key color options are a rare feature among yoga mats.

Easy Clean and Not a single slip
This mat has been to parks on grass, studios with wood flooring, living room with carpet and a garage with concrete floor. It cleans up beautifully and never slips. I wish it had a cute pattern option available but considering how hard I am on it, it's better that it doesn't. This is definitely my new go to mat from now on.

I had looked into "Top brand" yoga mats and did not like the lack of comfort when I was on knees
After looking for years for the right mat for me and my practice, I found it!I had looked into "Top brand" yoga mats and did not like the lack of comfort when I was on knees, back, side.This mat has the perfect amount of cushion, does not slide, and helps me stick every pose.Earth friendly bonus too!

Worth it, better than the cheap thick ones
I really couldn't believe how nice this ended up being. Way better than the thicker ones. I was worried about not enough padding because it wasn't as thick as some of them out there but it feels better than the thicker cheap ones and much easier to balance and move. No knee or elbow pain at all!Would happily buy again and recommend to a friend.

NOT 25 x 75
False advertising. The mat is smaller that the advertised 25" x 75". I wanted a longer mat and this one failed me. My mat is 72.75" long and 24.5" wide. In other words, it's a regular sized mat.
