I got these for my hermit crabs. I read other reviews stating smaller openings. I wanted openings sized around ¾" -1" so, I sized up and I got what I wanted. One shell had a significant chip but the rest were reasonable. I like the assortment of colors. I'm excited about how light they feel compared to what my crabs are currently wearing.I just opened the package so, I don't know how the crabs feel about them yet. Hopefully, they will love them as well.

Placed them in my reef tank for decoration. I was hoping my crabs would change shells, but they're too big. They look nice. Not much variety. I only used half of them to avoid repetition.

I usually don’t write reviews but these shells are great!! One of my crabs changed within 24 hours of placing them in my tank and the other changed 5 days later! Shells were very securely packaged. Only 2 of the shells came chipped but that’s to be expected when shipping something this fragile and I was honestly impressed there wasn’t more damaged. Will be purchasing more in the future!

These are the best hermit crab shell out here. One thing I noticed as they aren’t extremely heavy and my hermit crabs switched into them immediately. If you where carrying your home every where you go the weight of it really does matter. I bought 2 packs of them. They were neatly packed and arrived all intact. I can’t say that with many of the shells I have bought.

ordered 2-2 3/4 inch shells. All were ginormous. Probably 3 inch openings on every single one, and almost too big to hold in my hand. Even ordered some 1 1/2-2 inch ones, SUPER SMALL. Less than an inch opening on those. There is no way that adds up. All these sellers are the same. No reason to try purchasing hermit crab shells on amazon. They should just sell them for purely decoration. Save yourself the wasted money, and try to find them in store. That way you can see the sizes in person. Instead of getting 5 of the same exact ginormous shells. Wasn't there supposed to be a range of sizes in shells? Nope. All the same.
