I didn't know what to expect. I have cystic and hormonal acne. So if it's not one thing it's another when it comes to my face. I got this and used it everyday from it's first arrival. I know it says build up to that but I didn't have the patience. My skin was smoother by day two. A few purge patches by day 3-5 and clear by day 7. It definitely makes layering other serums/oils/ and moisturizers absorb better. It's super lightweight just hydrate your skin to your necessity. I plan to keep buying this. The expense sucks but you can't put a price on clear skin. I hope my acne scars diminish over time but it's only been 10 days. Hope this helps and works for those looking and in need. Cheers!

I love this product. I stumbled upon it while reading a beauty blog and decided to give it a try. I have been using other chemical exfoliant products to try to reduce the acne scaring on my face. These products, with regular use, were really aggravating my skin. Let me tell you about my skin and routine. I am 39 and have dealt with hormonal, cystic acne my entire adult life. In high school i used accutane which gave me significant relief for about 10 years. Then the hormonal cysts started to return, especially on my chin and jawbone and some on my cheeks. I used every harsh face wash and treatment i could find to try to rid the acne, but nothing worked. About 6 months ago I learned that the reason my treatments weren't working was because I was using all harsh treatments and not caring for my skin or restoring the moisture barrier. So, i switched it up completely. This product was the final addition that has cleared my skin. I cleanse in the morning with warm water followed by vitamin C serum, hylaronic acid, sebamed urea cream and sunscreen. I use foundation with hylaronic acid for make up during the day. At night, i cleanse with cerave foaming cleanser followed by a toner (usually something with a low amount of glycolic acid) then immediately apply this product. I let it dry, then apply differin gel. 20 minutes later I follow up with moisturizer (I use benton snall bee cream) and squalane oil. 1-2x per week i dermaroll my entire face and slather with snail bee cream. This product changed my skin. I have had no breakouts and the acne scars are fading and i attribute that entirely to adding this product. Nothing else has changed. If you have sensitive skin, breakouts and scarring -- i encourage you to change up your routine and add this product!! It's awesome! I gave this 4 starts only because of the price. I think $60 is a little steep but it really is so effective that i don't mind paying it. A little goes a long way so i think it will last a while.

I had a stressful life change and cross country move and my skin was breaking out around jaw. I suffer from hormonal acne. This helped clear up the breakout drastically and skin didn’t burn or further irritate like the vitamin exfol-a serum I’ve tried from Vivant. I’m looking forward to using this regularly.

There are products out there that are just as effective for a much more cost effective price. Do your research! For me- I substituted this with the paulas choice for way more product at a lower price.

I have been using Vivant skin care, and their Mandelic acid wash since my esthetician recommended it. I love their skin washes for my face. I have suffered from adult acne for years, and their Mandelic acid wash and green tea cleanser are just the very best to keep my skin healthy. Not as irritating for me as a Salicylic acid wash. I decided to try the Mandelic acid serum because of the success I have had with their other products. It said it was for wrinkles and hyper pigmented skin. I struggle with light skin that has a slight tint of redness all the time. I have been using the serum for about 4 weeks now, and I love it. It has really helped to even out my skin tone. The small wrinkles in my skin look so much better. It is a little irritating at first (like any serum) and so your skin has to get used to it, but I really feel like it has helped the look of my skin. They have a web site, and it is so helpful with skin care tips. I go to their web site and read their blogs and skin care tips all the time, just to make sure I am taking the best care of my skin that I possibly can.

This has helped my skin better than anything. It takes a month of being consistent to work. I have been using this product for at least 3 years. I tried to switch to a cheaper Mandelic acid but my skin broke out about 3 weeks after going off of it, I happened to be on a cruise at the time. As soon as I was home, I re-ordered this and right at the 30-day mark, my skin cleared again and I haven't had a break-out since. I would like to note, I am middle-aged. This did not work the same on my teenager but for hormonal acne the best. I only wash my face, put on this serum and moisturize. At night I repeat but don't moisturize. Other than this, I take 2 fish oils a day for my skin.

It works well to slowly improve post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It is gentle enough to use daily without irritating my skin or breaking me out and feels very light. It has a really mild almond scent which disappears very quickly.I highly recommend for sensitive skin.

I've only been using this product for a few weeks so I can't say for sure if I've noticed any difference in my skin yetI was my face with a flannel, then a face scrub, then I use micellar water to clean off eye makeup, a toner all over then this product for maximum resultsMy face does feel a bit smoother I suppose, perhaps my hyperpigmentation has softened a little bit I'm still coming up in spots and blackheadsWill keep using till I finish the bottle to make sure it's not just a rough start with itThere are other products I have seen that seem to get better results - any of the stuff from Makeup Artists Choice but as it's all from the US it's crazy expensive to get it imported, that on top of the already expensive price tag
