Good Pond Pump
This is a good pump for a fishpond. We have a pond that holds approximately 700 gallons, with a small waterfall & 2 "spitters", & this pump works just fine. Total Pond is a good brand & makes a lot of good products for fishponds. We also use their algaecide.

Pond Pump used to flush a tankless hot water heater
I purchased this pool pump to use in the annual flushing on my tankless hot water heater. I found a great YouTube video with excellent instructions and a pump with a similar GPH output was recommended. The video was great, the pump worked fine but I cannot speak to long term use as the process only took 90 minutes of run time....but something that should be done annually.

This is a GREAT pump, but this pump is different from an older pump with the same model #
This is a very durable pump, I've had mine for 3 years and it's still going strong. My previous pump of another brand died in less than a year. Although this pump has the same model number as a previous pump there is one significant difference. The older version has a male hose thread on the intake side, which I use to connect the pump to a biological filter, pulling water thru the filter before the pump. According to the manufacturer, the new version intake has a 1/4 female pipe thread, which will be a little more complicated to connect to my filter, but I'm sure it could be done.I'm assured by the manufacturer that the guts of this pump are the same as the old one and that's a good thing. :-)UPDATE: I bought this pump in 2014, 5 years ago, as a backup for another of the exact same make and model, ready to replace the first one when it failed. The first one had already been in the pond for at least two years by then and I thought its days were numbered, based on prior experience with other pumps. Well, the first pump is still in the pond, after at least 7 years, going strong and its replacement is still waiting. :-) AMAZING!UPDATE:The original pump finally died in Sept of 2020, after about 8 years running 24/7 for about 11 months per year.

This replaced a pump that failed
This has the proper intake and outlet tubing and has enough power to get the water up 5 feet, I would have given it a higher rating but haven’t had it long enough to determine how easy it is to clean and how long it will work.

Broke in a week
I have used this brand of pump in my pond for years. Need to replace ever 3-4 years but this one stopped working / clogged up ina week. Returned!

A little disappointed
Overall, the pump is fine. But it was a replacement for an identical pump (same model number) that had stopped working. What was disappointing was that the diameter of the intake opening was slightly smaller than the previous pump. So I had to exchange the cap over the impeller for the one on the old pump so that the pre-filter that I had been using would work with the new pump. I noticed that the impeller was different. It had three straight blades rather than a series of curved blades. I think they cheapened the manufacture somewhat with the new pump, although the model numbers are identical.

Just what I needed.
I have a smallish two stage pond set I bought from Lowes years ago. The original pump wore out about 3 years ago and I purchased one of these to replace it. Apparently 3 years is the life expectancy for these as it was again time to replace it. The plastic or nylon impeller gets jammed with leaf and acorn debris and after 3 or sears of continuous use it stops spinning. I use a filter box and clean and/or replace the filters periodically but age and use take their toll. The price is fair and I don't mind only replacing every 3 years or so.

Great little pump for fountain
I have a large rock 3 feet over a basin and pump water through the rock's center as a fountain. This little pump is smaller the the one I had there that lasted about 4 years, but its the same strong magnet design (you can tell by how heavy it is). I did have to adapt the output (expected this) to my larger tube and had concerns if this pump could lift water 3-4 feet and fill a tube twice the output size while providing a fountain jet at the top for effect. No concerns any more. This pump did the trick, consumes less electricity than my previous pump, and has never clogged over the last year that I have been using it. Looking forward to many trouble-free years with this one.

Install inside a box filter to keep pump clean
Installed inside a box filter in 500 gal fish pond. Working well with uv clarifier.
