Olive Oil Bottle Dispenser and Pourer with Plastic Pour Tap Spout 375ml - Glass Cruet By Deliette

I just received this. After looking and looking for an olive oil dispenser with a spout I thought I had found it. The pictures show a two part spout with a nice pouring lip. However, all I received was a rubber stopper - a single piece. So this is going back unless they can send me the correct two part stopper. So, beware, if you are also considering purchasing this for the nice - and pictured - spout.UPDATE: The pour spout was delivered - initially all we received was a rubber stopper. So all has been made well. We have used it and like it and so am upgrading my rating to four stars. There is not anything I can think of to complain about now and works well and as represented.

I was somewhat disappointed with this product. It looks like a commercial off-the-shelf bottle that's already filled with oil. The only advantage to the regular screw-off top on such bottles is that this one comes with a rubber stopper atop a pouring spout. It even has the capacity of the bottle printed on the front, making it look even more like a supermarket product. I could have just as well used one of my nice Trader Joe unfiltered olive oil bottles and added my own bottle stopper.

I received the olive oil bottle few days ago and transferred my wild sesame oil (sorry.. wasn't using it for olive oil!) in it.And here's my feedback.1. I really liked the box design.. it made me feel like I am getting a quality product and if you are thinking of giving this as a gift, I would say go for it.2. Initially I could not find the rubber spout, but quickly realized that it was stuck inside the cap. So if you cannot find it, just pull it out from the cap.3. I like the fact that the spout is small and fits comfortably inside the cap! They can also be detached and washed if necessary.4. I would give a plus for the color of the bottle (it should always be dark to protect the oil from light!!!)5. I will be very honest with you-- I am not a huge fan of the bottle design. The shape and size of the bottle is PERFECT.But the drawing on it... I found it slightly outdated... but that was the least of my worries. It kinda grows on you lol.6. I thought it would be nice if there was a paper insert with instructions on handling/cleaning the bottle.<UPDATE>I contacted Deliette regarding this, and they confirmed that the bottle is dishwasher safe & it is definitely ok the pour your oil straight into the bottle (basically, you can take it out of the box and use it right away).The customer service people were super nice so if you have any questions or concerns I suggest that you email them :)Hope this helps!!!!- E.

Love the look of the bottle! However, more often than not, when I attempt to twist & pull the top off, the spout comes out with it! I think if they made the spout a little larger, it would have a tighter fit in the bottle, and would stay in the bottle until I actually WANT to pull it out!update 2-5-16: They've been kind enough to send a replacement spout & cap, which worked for awhile, but again this morning, I forgot to check after pulling the cap, and ended up dumping at least 1/4c oil onto my dog's food (supposed to be 1t)!VERY FRUSTRATING! Why can't they make the pour spout stopper just a little bigger so IT STAYS IN THE BOTTLE?!?! I would much rather have to struggle to remove the stopper!I am now looking for a replacement, and sorry I wasted my money on this item.

I could not be more satisfied with the beautiful Deliette Olive Oil Bottle. I have used it a few times since receiving it, and it is absolutely fantastic!The size is perfect....not too heavy, and is extremely easy to hold because of its diameter...fits in the hand securely. At first I couldn't figure out where the spout was, but after close examination, I discovered how it works. I have not seen a spout like this on an olive oil dispenser before. As a matter of fact, I have never seen the clever way the spout was nestled in the top. I love how it dispenses....no shaking, etc. It dispenses unusually well, whether you need to drizzle or pour more liberally. After usage, the spout is covered by the top......much more sanitary than those spouts that are exposed when you put it away after using them. Wonderful!!! The green glass, the design on the Olive Oil bottle and everything about it is appealing to the eye. I have been looking for such a bottle for many years and have purchased all kinds. The Deliette Olive Oil bottle Is the best I have ever purchased and I have been a fervent olive oil user for many, many years.The packaging was also very well put together....no danger of breakage and it came in a sturdy attractive box. I love everything about my new Deliette Olive oil Bottle!!!!!

The problem I'm having is whenever I remove the cap, since it's a plug style it pulls the pour spout out of the bottle so I need to grab a paper towel to pull the spout out of the cap and shove it back in the bottle. I'm now trying not to close it tightly but I think that won't keep the oil as fresh. A screw on top would be better than a pull out in this case or maybe if the spout was screwed onto the bottle.
