ZutanoUnisex-Baby Newborn Candy Stripe Booties

Babies have been around a long time, and so have babies booties. Why in the world someone didn't make booties that stay on babies before now, I don't know. Finally, Zutano has accomplished the apparently impossible. I first noticed these booties when a child in my care wore them to my house. Typically, the booties go on the table after the first release in the morning to await the return of parents as otherwise, I end up spending the entire day replacing them. These booties never had the chance to be put on the table because they never fell off. There must be something magical about the shape and the snap arrangement that keeps them on.The babies who wore these the best were between about 5 months and 10 months old. They also generally wore socks under the booties. To be honest, one might sometimes come off on an older baby who is crawling around and intentionally pulling on his/her socks, but otherwise, they stay really well. I have used both the fleece versions and the cotton versions. They hold up well and are worth the money. In fact, you might even save money by buying just one pair of these and using them every day instead of buying a few bad pairs to rotate. You won't like any other brands any more anyway. I love knowing the babies' feet are toasty warm all winter long.Generally, the babies seem to wear a 6 month size at maybe about 4 months of age, but they seem to span several months in that one size because of the shape and the two snap positions. These booties would make a great baby shower gift, but you would want to point out that this particular pair should not get thrown in a drawer with all the other booties that don't stay on.

I have tried other brands and these seem to be more well-constructed & use better materials (i.e. this particular pair of lime candy stripe booties has been washed around 20 times and are still exactly like the day they arrived in the mail... whereas a pair of GuavaBooties has been washed twice and is already pilling + the hook/loop closure on those is not going to stand up to extended use - the tab that folds over to secure one piece of hook/loop to the other isn't exactly flimsy but isn't sturdy either & the pieces of hook/loop aren't attached tremendously well)

I love the design and fabric of these booties. I have two newborn size (0-3 month) pairs that my son wore from birth to 2.5 months and two 3 month size (3-6 month) pairs that he's worn from 2.5 months to 4.5 months. There are extreme quality control and sizing issues with these booties, however. The straps vary widely in length from pair to pair and color to color. If the strap is to long, the booties don't stay on --- at all --- which is extremely annoying. I purchased 4 pairs and sent back 3 to try to find the one that had the shortest strap. Overall the strap are WAY too long compared to the length of the bootie. Zutano, fix (SHORTEN) the length of the straps or add additional snaps to make the straps shorter. My son has been in the 50th percentile for weight and the straps are still too long (I've had to sew them shorter to get them to stay on), so if your child is on the smaller than average size you may or may not get a pair that fits.... I'm giving three stars because I love the product, but the sizing issues need to be corrected and the consistency across colors also should be corrected.

This is my second go-around with babies and Zutanos. I used them with my daughter (now 4) and now for our newest addition. They stay on, keep baby's feet warm, and I always get compliments on them. I recommend Zutanos for all new parents and give them as baby gifts. Must have at all baby's ages and stages! Especially now that they have the grippers on the bottom (didn't for my first) so my newest can keep her feet warm this winter and I don't have to worry as much about her slipping and falling on our slippery floors as she crawls and toddles her way around!

These booties are great! My little one is always kicking off a sock and living in Denver we want her to have warm feet. The snaps are great because they keep the booties in place. My daughter is 5 months but I bought the 12m booties and they fit with a little room to grow because I read the reviews of others. These booties are good to wear in the spring/fall with a baby carrier like the ergo where there little legs dangle but you don't want a full snow suit. These are very cute and cozy and I was really impressed by the soft material.I highly recommend!

I wish these actually stayed on. I bought them a size up (baby was three months old and I bought the six month size) then put them away for a few months because they were way to big. Now she is six months old and they are still too big. She's able to squirm out of them right away (unless I have thick socks underneath, then it takes her a few minutes before they're off). We also received a pair of three month old sized Zutano booties as a gift and they do fit a lot better. However, my baby has still been able to kick them off without much time wasted for the past few months. Now they seem to be getting a bit too snug in the toes and she's not able to kick them off unless she's really rioting. Glad they fit now, but she won't be able to wear them much longer. Very cute, but likely wouldn't buy again.
