Paws-Free Toilet Paper Cover

It completely stopped my cats, from making toilet paper messes, and it is easy for humans to use! I've had mine for 7 years now. 🙂

This product is genius! Like most cats, my little guy loves to shred the toilet paper roll any chance he gets. Unfortunately he also likes to eat the toilet paper instead of just ripping it apart which makes it both dangerous and expensive. I searched online for my options and decided to give this cover a try which ended up working out perfectly!One thing I was disappointed with however was the print on the fabric of my cover. It is truly a hideous print that reminds me of my grandmother's wallpaper growing up as a kid. I would have much preferred either to select my own from some of the prints or just have it in a simple, solid color so it is not such an eyesore in my bathroom.However, I still gave the product itself 5 stars though because it definitely does the job it is intended to do without being overly complicated. A tip before mounting the Velcro strips is to make sure you install the cover over a full roll of toilet paper. I mounted my strips with a half-full roll so the cover is a little tight/stretched when the roll is full.

Awesome product which makes you think "why did I not think of that!" This is my second order and I specified to the seller I needed a longer cover with my chosen pattern (2nd picture). You should follow the diagram on the left to measure the A to B distance using a full roll. Let it dry for 24 hours.The standard cover size only fits recessed dispensers with A to B distance of 12 inches. If you have a SURFACE MOUNTED dispenser, or use MEGA ROLLS, do not buy the regular cover because it will NOT fit. It doesn’t work on a holder that is not recessed. I taped it above mine on the side of the counter anyway to drape over the roll to hopefully keep the cat from ruining the toilet paper and eating it. It’s cute but definitely not big enough to use as stated.

This is a fairly good idea for those of us who have cats with a love of toilet paper. The ordering site did not trigger a request for information such as measurements which made getting the desired size a challenge. If your cat is truly gifted at getting to the toilet paper, he can do so by clawing it from the side of the roll which is not covered. Also as the roll of paper is used, the cover becomes looser allowing the cat better access to the toilet paper. Seller (Crazy-Kitty) states he uses the highest grade velcro, but it does not stick well to the wall even after following online directions for making velcro stick better. Just did not work well for me so I switched to covering the toilet paper with a quart size zip-lock plastic bag. He ignores it now. My cat is strange!

These are lifesavers! We've had them over a year now and the instant I installed them the kitty TP mayhem stopped! Occasionally someone will "forget" to stick it back up after using the TP and we will have more white fluff to clean up. All I can say is these little covers are magical. You will not regret the purchase if you have kitties that like to have TP fun like I do. As a side note, you might just remember to notify your guests how it works. My brother visited from California and began to panic because he couldn't find the TP! :-)

Our cat finds toilet paper whereever we hide it. Put it on top of the towel rack, she discovered she can pull down the towel and the toilet paper falls down. Hide it in the cupboard, she learns to open doors. We put one of these over the toilet paper, and (so far) she hasn't even tried to get into it. Out of sight out of mind, I guess.The velcro holds well but comes off easily, and the whole thing fits well over the toilet paper.

So ingenious. Working good so far, and hoping kitty doesn't figure it out--but that isn't the seller's fault. Seller was extremely helpful and responsive to emails. Shipped quickly. Easy to install. Fits well. Hoping the cat doesn't figure it out!
