WORKS GREAT AND EASY TO USE. LOVE IT

I have ordered many Butterfly Habitats from Restcloud and have been very happy with the purchases. Would highly recommend. Recently I tried another manufacturer and although the product was constructed properly the size was smaller than orders from Restcloud even though they were advertised as the same size. Will only order from Restcloud in the future. Very happy customers and they product the caterpillars from harm and predators.

We bought this last spring and used to raise monarchs outside on our patio. They had many chrysalis attach to the top mesh and seemed to work great. I brought it out this season and there was a rip in the mesh on the front and also a rip that forms around the wire sides that hold it together. I loved the size so I purchased another; hoping if I’m a little more careful with it this season it could last for more than one.

Easy to use by accessing inside through side zipped panel. Piller dross stains but is easy to wipe down. Large enough for two 12" large pots with two mature milkweed plants per pot. 20-24 Caterpillars / chrysalis / Butterfly per habitat. If lacking plants during metamorphosis, some weight is needed in the base to keep it sturdy. Bee proof, wasp proof, ant proof; yep.Viewing the caterpillar shed skin and become a chrysalis, then later watching the ooze dripping thing emerge from the blackened chrysalis is disturbing. But having butterfly perch on your fingers awaiting release is an experience well worth the effort. Be advised, milkweed is a toxin containing plant. Accidentally transfer some sap or oils into your eyes and you will enjoy tear gas symptoms that will not go away for a couple days. Along with impaired vision. The habitat is a fine well thought-out product, just know what you are getting in to raising butterfly.

The only issue is that the bottom material is not think enough. However, that can be taken care of by placing a towel on the bottom. Everything else is great and I’m very happy with it.

This is great for the larger plants of milkweed that I have. It works great I now have two monarch caterpillars waiting to become beautiful butterflies. I ordered the smaller one also that works great it’s green and white this one is blue and white and about twice the size of the first one but you can put a bigger pot in with a bigger plants so that. I bought the 24x24x36” butterfly habitat. It is my favorite of all the sizes. This thing is huge and that’s why I like it. I am able to fit a very large potted milkweed or small citrus tree in this enclosure with lots of extra space to spare. I like that it is foldable and washable. The double zipper is great as well. I use this enclosure upside down and use tea towels to help block the heat from the Louisiana sun.

For two years we have had Monarchs which we brought to emergence in a homemade cage. Last year we put the cage on display in our retirement village for the other residents to enjoy. They attracted much attention. This cage will be so much more attractive. It will also be so sheer for taking pictures to be posted next to the elevators in our community.
