Great but Cheap
These speakers work great! We've really loved them. I originally bought them so I could watch movies on my ipod or laptop while washing dishes and cleaning. They worked great, but about a month later, the cords started to short out. It started with the charging cord. I had to twist and turn it JUST right till the player stayed on. But I just gave up and put batteries in them. I have no idea how long the batteries last ... sorry. So far they've lasted more than 4 hours of total play time. Then the headphone jack started to short out at the base. This is harder to fix if you're not an electrician. The headphone jack is actually connected to the speaker. The other annoying thing is that iPods have the headphone jack on the bottom ... these speakers "hold" your device while playing. Well, it either has to be upside down, hiding half the screen, or for movies (like in my case) I had to prop the iPod against something else so that I could see the sideways screen. The speakers do not hold the ipod sideways, it just slips off, even with a silicone case!Pros:Amplified sound nicelyFolds up easilyStores easilyLong battery lifeCons:Cheap cordsDoesn't hold iPod well. You really pay for what you get on this product. I'm sure if you are a little more careful with your electronics than I am (My toddler grabbed it a few times and I've dropped it and caught it by the cords a few times) this product may last more than a month for you, but I wouldn't be surprised yours lasts you less than 4 months.

A baffling surprise....
This no-name device comes with no directions, and when I opened the box, I wasn't sure if this was the same thing I ordered. I was expecting something I could plug my iPod into and play in the park, on the beach, etc. But I could not find either the 3.5mm connection cord, nor could I figure out the battery situation (it comes with a USB cable for power). Obviously, hooking it up to my computer defeats the purpose, as my computer already has speakers. It took quite some tinkering before figuring out that you have to slide out the bottom piece, at which time the 3.5mm connection cord will pop out. You then re-attach the tray to the front side so you can place your MP3 player within. With that tray removed from the backside, you can access the area where the batteries go.No, I'm definitely not the most technical person, but I have to imagine (or at least hope, for my own sake) that these tips will save someone else the hassle. Now that I've finally gotten it to work the way I want, it's definitely not a bad piece for $5! The sound isn't great, but for $5, no complaints either.

portable speakers for any MP3
i bought these speakers because i wanted speakers i could use at small parties i have and with friends when im just hanging out, or when im at home and don't feel like starting my computer up to listen to my music. i have a non-Ipod MP3 player so the choices are kinda slim when choosing what accesories to get, but i went with this speaker set and it has been great so far. they fold up to fit in your hand but have a very big punch when it comes to sound. they come with a USB charger, but you can buy a USB AC power charger for like $5.00 so its not that bad, but they also run on 4 AAA batteries. the speaker has an ON/OFF switch, a volume wheel, and a stand that will fit most if not all MP3 players. the headphone jack that connects to the player is perfect lenght for keeping the player in the stand but not very long if you want to use your MP3 player away from the speakers. the black design is very nice and gives it a sleek look to it. i have noticed that if you turn the sound on your device up, you dont have to use up the batteries as much on the speakers.overall, i give them a 5/5 because they do want they aer supposed to and have a nice look to them. i have yet to test their durability(dropping them) and hopefully i never have to, but they are loud enough for me and are very portable and fit in your hand, so what else could you ask for. i am very satisfied with this purchase.

Cheap but works quite well.
Just as expected no maybe better....didn't expect much and got more than expectations. Fuze works fine on it though upside down as some people complain about it. We will take it along camping and maybe just setting outside on patio. We aren't quite into the tiny MP3 players as the younger generations. But getting there sort of. We don't walk around with it stuck in our ear via earphones but do find it interesting to take along on our long car rides to town as in 180 miles round trip. Our rural neck of the woods has no radio reception most of the time either. So have car system that plays through car radio. That works ok but not great too. This little tyke speaker system is so cute and so cheap and we'll use it now and again but not a lot of the time. Sound is not great but not bad by any means. (At our ages maybe it's our hearing that's not so great:))) Works for us though and that's the bottom line and wasn't over priced from this seller. However you can pay more for it here on Amazon if you like and it's the same exact item so shop and compare then come back here and pick it up.

Nice design, fun,
This is a cleverly-designed device. It does a Transformer-like maneuver and opens from a cube shape to the tiny boombox look you see in the product photo. It plays music from a cord you put into the headphone jack from your device. Your phone or MP3 player sits loosely in a tray designed to fit a lot of devices. If you happen to have an Android phone with the usb port on the top or sides, you can charge it while it sits there. It's got an on/off switch and a volume adjuster on the back, plus a really bright blue LED light that makes quite a nightlight. Otherwise you're going to be putting tape over that light. It comes with a USB cord that plugs into the back of the unit. You could plug that USB cord into a USB charger if you could find one that produces the suggested 6 volts. My other USB chargers, like for the Kindle or the iPhone, are 5 volts. I couldn't find a setup that didn't make the speakers buzz a lot when plugged in. So what do you want for the price of a sandwich? Not a bad little item.
