I just received this book. The condition that was promised was 'New.' Imagine my surprise when there is a name written on the inside cover and labels on the back cover that say it is a used book from ecampus. The book itself is in Excellent condition; however, I believe that the description should have said, "Like New," "Excellent," "Never Used," or something similar.

I absolutley loved this book because there are many different types of technologies that a teacher might not know about and can use.As a future teacher, it gave me an idea of how I want my future classroom to be. Blended learning is something that should happen in all classrooms because I feel that students learn more effectively when they are introduced to all the different types of tech that is out there.I am a huge fan of Catlin Tucker and have been in contact with her through Twitter. She is an amazing educator and if it wasnt for her, I wouldnt have know what kind of tech is out there and probably would still have been stuck. If you really want to know more about her, get a hold of her through Twitter @Catlin_TuckerTrust me yoy wont regret it!I would strongly recommend any future and also current teachers to own this book. I am happy to own it and it is full of crazy colors (taking notes) because that is how much I enjoyed her book. Another book that is good to own as well (which I will get soon) is Creatively Teach: Common Core Literacy Standards with Technology Grades 6-12

A book for teachers who wish to incorporate technology in a meaningufl and powerful way in the classroom
This book exceeded my expectations! Thank you!I wanted to get a good picture of what a Blended Learning environment could look like and I really can "see" it after reading this book.Ms. Tucker is an ELA teacher but she "nailed" the chapter on mathematics! I couldn't have asked for a more vivid description of where I could start implmenting a Blended environment. She gave few, but powerfull tools to try. She had the same philosophy as I do in designing student-active learning environments within the classroom as well as outside of the classroom.Every teacher should read this book if they are wondering how to incorporate technology in their teaching in a meaningful manner.Thank you Catlin.

Good Read
Almost half of the book did not pertain me seeing as though I only teach science and math. Still a good read though.

Great for those looking for practical information
Although the book was written several years ago, the basic information is still accurate. I saw only a few places, regarding web tools, that could be updated. Caitlin does a great job sharing her pedagogically-sound advice, and any teacher desiring to better efforts to increase student motivation, engagement, and achievement will find many ways to do so throughout this book.

Good book for emerging teachers.
Good book with lots of information. I only purchased this book because it was required otherwise it's one of those books that you should sit down at the bookstore, buy a cup of coffee and browse through. Good tips for teacher but nothing innovative. A lot of fundamentals and common sense information that any teacher can gather by doing a LITTLE research on their own.

Blended Learning 101
Blended Learning in grades 4-12 was just what I wanted! I had been looking for a resource to share with my teachers that gives them a big picture and suggestions on how to make a successful blended learning environment. The section review questions were great, as was the lesson ideas for common core curriculums.
