Good quality strong thick canvas bag.
Ok. Smack down between the wildriver nomad and the Calissa offshore bag. First of all the Calissa is a larger bag. I PUT the exact same items in the top portion of both bags and the Calissa had more space left in the top. I was able to add two bananas one 16oz water and two apples in the Calissa bag but the Wild river was filled to the top after placing the same items in. Also the side pockets on the Calissa are larger and deeper and the Calissa can hold five 3600 boxes where the wildriver can only hold four max. I I couldn't stuff a fifth box in the wild river if I tried. Now for the quality the wildriver is much better made. The canvas type material is thicker and better. The zippers are heavy duty with two zippers per pocket where the Calissa bag only has one zipper and are cheaper made. The lighting system on the wild river is very nice but I just needed more space. I wanted to use the wildriver for my lake and river fishing and the Calissas for my ocean shore and boat fishing but now I'll have to switch them around because the Calissa holds more and when I lake fish I bring the kitchen sink. I fish for Crappie, Bass, catfish, trout, stripe bass and bluegills so I need all my equipment for each species of fish when I take my boat out. I guess I'll have to order another backpack bag for my sacramento river fishing not sure. The wild river bag used to be made with three pockets on each side which would have given it more storage space. O well there's my smack down on the two bags. If you don't take a lot of tackle get the wild river it's really a good well made bag and should work for most anglers it's just that I take a lot of gear. I STAND CORRECTED REGARDING THE ZIPPERS THE CALISSA BAG DOES HAVE TWO ZIPPERS ON SOME POCKETSVBUT NOT THE TOP ONES AND AGAiN THE ZIPPERS ARE NOT AS LARGE AND WELL MADE AS THE WILDRIVER BAG. Today 12-6 -2019 additional g to this smack down. I have used the Calissa bag four time now and have noticed the elasticity on the bag where you would place pliers is starting to sag like all elastic items. Checked the same loops on the wildriver bag and they are made of strong canvas type material so with that bag I won't have the stretching issues which will soon make those hanging loops useless. Today is Feb 7, 2020 and I'm here to report that my blackstar Calissa back pack fishing bag developed a tare and the stiching on one of the bottom pads is coming lose. As I ordered another large bag the BASSDASH The company decided to send me another Calissa back pack so now I have three. I will tell you that the wild river back is the best constructed. It has very heavy thick canvas type material but just to small for me. Now this new BASSDASH backpack that just arrived is very good quality also and the stitching is well done just not quite thick of material as the wildriver bag but much larger. Both side pockets are much larger and to front pockets are very large you can compare the sizes on Amazon. The BASADASH is my go to bag unless wild river matches its size in the future and design their pockets to fill even from top to bottom. With the wild river pockets they tapper at the bottom so you lose storage space. This makes bags made like this look sleek but I'm after space and usage not looking good. The only thing that I'm worrying about regarding the BASSDASH bag is that the hard bottom is covered by fabric and it has no pads on the bottom. I do lots of shore fishing on rocks and rough ground so I'm curious to see how the bottom holds up. Aslo this bag has smaller shoulder straps than the wild river bag and not as good padding so for long trips to the water this is going to be a problem but over all a very good bag to purchase.

Love this backpack!!
It is the perfect backpack for any angler. Perfect size, lots of compartments also has its own light and rain cover. For that unexpected rain cloud that rolls in. The price is a little high, but it is definitely something that will last for a long time. It's very durable.

Great Tacklepack
I bought this because I have an older one that has held up great. It is heavily loaded with jigs and shows zero signs of failing. Very substantial feet on the bottom to protect it. Well thought out and very heavy construction. Some of the others use a lesser quality material. I use slimmer trays for more organized. Rain fly is nice. For myself it could be a little larger, but it's probably the sweet spot for most people. Buy without worry

Perfect Fishing Gear!
I bought this for my 16 yr old son who has always fished but is now involved in tournament fishing. I noticed that he was lugging around his tackle box everywhere and it just seemed to get in the way. When I gave this Wild River tackle backpack to him for Christmas, he LOVED it!! He immediately switched over everything in his tackle box to the pack. The trays slide in and out easily with no issues at all, all the pockets are nice and he really liked having a hard-pocket case for his sunglasses. The pack fits nicely over his shoulders (he's 6'ft 230 lbs), he likes to use the extra front strap to secure it in place when he's getting on & off the boat. The lights (white & green) in the pack are super helpful in the early hours of the morning and evening when trying to switch out lures, hooks, etc Recently, he was also able to use the raincover that comes with it and it kept the pack 100% dry. No regrets purchasing this pack!

My new fishing partner
This is a great fishing backpack. There are plenty of compartments so you can stay organized. I really like that it readily accepts the Plano 3600 series boxes. It is well constructed and well thought out.I am definitely more mobile now. Now, one of my hands is free while hiking to my fishing location, which allows me to more easily navigate steep terrain near shore. While scouting a new location, I can roam and cast along the shoreline with my tackle box on my back. And ... I can still bring enough tackle to target different species.

Arrived broken and missing items
Product arrived missing the rain cover and retractable plier sheath. All the tags were removed and shoved into one of the inner compartments like someone had gone through the trouble to remove each one and place it there. The button switch for the light was broken as well makingnit difficult to activate the light function. Obviously the product was damaged on arrival and missing key items. Can't complain about the storage though. This is my second wild river bag and they are usually good products....when they arrive intact that is.

Best Tackle "Box" I Have Ever Owned
I had been looking for a tackle backpack and come across this one on Amazon. It has TONS of storage, ive got over a thousand dollars of tackle inside. The light is super bright and the green comes in handy while night fishing on the boat. The rain sleeve is awesome too, and the back pad breaths really well.If you are tired of toteing your tackle box or annoyed with the satchel style that bangs around your legs thisbackpack is the best out there, all my friends are getting them now.Only thing i would add is for the option to come with boxes and pliars and stuff included.Very Comfortable and I am a big guy but was also comfortable on my small cousin so cant go wrong!

You Get What You Pay For!!!
You Get What You Pay For with this Tackle Backpack! I fish freshwater 3x per week w/ no boat, walking the perimeter of Lakes, Rivers, and Marinas. This is the most comfortable and dependable Tackle Pack that I’ve ever owned. I’m still using the same Wild River Backpack while my buddies have gone through 3 Bass Pro Backpacks in the same amount of time. All of the Bass Pro Backpacks rip at the strap or at the bottom from overstuffing. The Wild River BackPack is Durable and Rugged enough to last for years!

Loving this bag.
Bought this so my girlfriend and I could have a nice easy to carry solution for our tackle when we go off hiking into the bush. Material seems to be quite good, no problems with any of the zippers, light works fine, and holds plenty of gear. Very happy with this bag.

Awesome bag
Great tackle bag. Tons of room and the quality seems legit. Only complaint is that 3500 size trays do not fit in the side pockets like they advertise.
