Lawnmower Good When It Works
I was originally happy with my battery lawnmower, but just over a year later it developed a fault and since 27th July 2020 they've had it for repair. I haven't seen it since and we're just about to go into October. The only emails I've had from Genpower, just say "waiting for engineers report". This is getting beyond a joke. It's almost impossible to get a response from email, I sent 2 last week, still no reply. Having to employ a gardener for most of the summer isn't cheap, especially when you have already spent £500 on a lawnmower. I just want my lawnmower back in working order or a refund of the purchase price. The one star is for the year of use, -stars for support. Would love to add a photo but I haven't seen it for over 2 months.

Big Hyundai Battery Lawnmower is Amazing
My Hayter Auto 56 stopped working about 6 weeks ago. £200 repair bill or replacement second hand Hayter at £400. Considered the Bosch (Battery) option but I have approx 1000sqm of lawn and to go for a much narrower push mower was a step too far. Came across the Hyundai and i) Didn't know they made lawnmowers and ii) Couldn't believe the spec for the price. Took a chance and wow am I impressed. Autumn grass, 6 weeks growth, very damp and the Hyundai still cut through - I did have to lift the mowing height for a few of the worse (longest/wettest) parts but all in all an amazing performance. My first cut, batteries finished before I completed all my lawns, probably got about 85% done. However the second cut one week later was much easier and I got 95% done. Suspect will get 100% done on dry summer cuts but can't confirm this. Anyway wasn't a problem too recharge the batteries and finish off a bit later or leave a smaller lawn for another time. My guess would be the Hyundai would finish any lawn(s) under 800sqm in one go. The Hyundai actually delivers a better cut than my old Hayter (albeit quite old now) , but I I won't be be going back after this experience. I found the self-propel option very useful on longer runs (Up to 30m), but on tighter areas such as around flower beds I just pushed the machinewhich is light enough to be very easy to manouver. Couple of quick tips, firstly on my model the mulcher was already installed, this took me a bit of time to figure out, but is easy to change once your aware it's there and ii) this machine is very lightweight when compared to a Hayter, so I have adapted my mowing style a little - in my case I'm carefully mowing borders rather than ignoring pretty much everything in the interest of speed as I used to with the Hayter. The Hyundai is narrower but the lighter weight did make the task much easier and I think a little quicker too. Highly recommended.

Very heavy
This lawn mower is very heavy to use, my lawn is not a bowling green. I cut on number 4, any higher and it wouldn't be worth cutting the lawn. I'm a 74 years old fit female and I struggle to push the mower when not using the self propeller. The mower does cut well and it is good not to keep having to move cable or have to fetch petrol. I have a very large lawn and have to charge the batteries half way through, it would be better if the mower came with 2 chargers for the 2 batteries.

Packed up again
Bought this and It packed up less than 6 months after buying it. Had a job trying to get the seller to fix it and eventually they replaced it. However just got it out to start cutting the grass and it’s packed up again. Surely a lawn mower which is only used in the summer should last longer than 2 seasons

Powerful and light - but self propelled function does guzzle the battery
I replaced a 6.5hp petrol mower with this and have to say it feels more powerful and chokes less than my old petrol one. It is light in comparison to the 40kg beast I had before and hence I'm a little worried how well this will last but it's done about 10 mows and seems fine. I have a 1/3rd acre garden with some slopes and it just about does it with 2 batteries (I have another 2 batteries in case) - however this is with minimal self propelled... if you use the self propelled motors then you really go through the batteries - only just get the lawn done with 4 batteries. The self propelled isn't very fast a slow/medium walking pace on the flat. Battery recharging is about 45mins per battery. The best thing over a petrol is you don't have to constantly break your shoulder starting the engine - just press the button! The cut is very good and the suction of grass into the bag is excellent - probably the best of any mower I've used over the last 25 years of mowing. It has 10 height settings and setting 4-5 is about as low as I dare go on my lawn. I used the mower to go through 30-40cm grass with the side shute open and setting at the highest and it went through it fine with only some choking on clumps of thick weeds. I would recommend this mower but would say using the self propelled function does guzzle the battery so probably best for flat lawns or those who want a workout!

Can't do what it's designed
Don't waste your money can't even manage to cut a normal sized lawn stops randomly with no reason batteries still have charge left and won't restart when stops. Absolutely awful product so frustrating when you want to mow the lawn changed from petrol for ease and actually harder!!!

Get a different brand. Wait for hyundai to put some engineers on this to fix the flaws.
Its is a very expensive lawnmower and you'd expect it to be a solidly built piece for the price but. Trust me. It's plastic battery holder is so flimsy it feels like it will break. The handles for the self drive are also v flimsy. Easily detachable. The cut on this device is actually quiet good but it's just not built in my opinion to last.Another serious gripe. You can't use the self drive without the blades turning. In most good lawnmowers you can disengage the blade and still power the lawnmower to your next lawn without pushing. This doesn't have that functionality and the lawnmower is hard to push with a half full bag without the power assist. Pity.Update 20 April 2022. Mower is still working perfectly. No damage to any of the flimsy parts I described. It’s actually a might lil thing. I was wrong

Wouldn’t go back to petrol.
Thought I would try this rather than go through my annual battle with my Honda isy. I was a little dubious but it it turns out it works fine . No yanking cords to re start every time you stop . I have a large garden and it managed it . Grass pickup is excellent and machine is much lighter than the Honda . Don’t have to fill cans of petrol all summer. Battery charges quickly.
