replaced 10 of my cars with these. Their perfect
I bought enough for all my cars and so far they operate fast. Last long. No lagging. And for my personal preference they are perfect. Slightly loud but I’ll buy more when needed!

Great alternative to Savox, but not Waterproof
I have bought about 10 of these servos, I have primarily used them in water applications in my boats.. they can get wet even submerged, but I find it will kill them. They tend to die by either pulling to one side or completely reversing the direction and no servo reverse will fix it.. because I want to use them in my boats, I used a hack that I found from my boating community. first I pull them apart when new, I pack the exposed servo horn end with marine grease, then I put it all back together and then use a product called plastic dip . I put tape around the spline end, put the screw into the spline and then dip the whole servo into the solution. i have done one one coating but, if you do 2 it will get the serve about 97% water proof. the water can still get in from the spline area, but that is where the grease comes in... Again the price for 4 can;t be beat.. I know I could go with the more expensive savox, but truly as much beating as I go through, I am okay with if there is a bad one out of X, I haven't exp that, but I am sure it's possible just check each one before install and and after to make sure it comes back to center, the added aluminum arm is a very nice touch..

Not bad but definitely a budget servo and bs on the 20k.
I have put two of these in my cars. One in a ARRMA Typhon 3s blx and the other in an ARRMA Granite 3s blx. The one in the typhon has the stock arrma servo saver on it and does as well as the default arrma servo (maybe a touch more responsive.) The Granite has their aluminum arm that is included instead of a servo saver. I used it for about 30 min and it burned itself out, was too hot to touch and stopped responding. Lesson learned, 20k claim is bs but it is fairly responsive and does decently well with a good servo saver. My opinion is it is closer to a 6k servo with metal gearing.

Great Servos
I absolutely love the DS3218 servos. Have been using them for a while now and not a single issue. I run them through water, mud, etc and they just keep on going. Have not had a failure yet. They also have very smooth movement and return to center nicely. I use them on crawlers and even some large 4WS monster trucks with plenty of torque to spare. Nice that they come with an aluminum horn as well. I don't always use the horn, but have on occasion and never had an issue. Highly recommended servos, great value for the money.

Good servo, good aluminum horn, mediocre waterproofing.
I'm using these servos to turn the driver head on an axial bomber and operate the 2-speed transmission. They seem to be quite a bit more powerful than the tactic servo that came with the bomber. The aluminum servo horns were milled well and fit nicely. They are sealed from water with small rubber gaskets between the case sections. I went ahead and coated the circuit boards with dielectric grease as these type of seals seem to make them splash resistant but not waterproof. Overall they seem like a good servo so far and the added aluminum servo horns is a nice touch.
