Definitely makes feeding take a while for small/medium dogs
Took my pup a couple days to fully figure it out, but it's helped with making her slow down for sure. Puzzle feeders were no help (took 2-3min) and I even tried snuffle mats (less than 10 min) AND feeding her in a ball pit (took 7 min). This is definitely the best option so far. It's a good 45 minutes for her to eat. It is a bit small, and she's a 17lb dog so I would not recommend for anything above probably 25-30lb. My 55lb dog cannot really get her head under the spinner to get the food.

My pup loves this!
The media could not be loaded. My pup loves this! Very easy to assemble and you can control the resistance so it is easy for her to manipulate with her nose. If she used her paws, I would make it a bit tighter.I only wish there was an easier way to put the food inside. You have to tip it on its side and put the food in the very small opening without spilling the kibble all over the place through the holes. A bit of a challenge but manageable.

Keeps my dog engaged...good product.
Our dog seems to like it. The first few weeks, she ate more from this than she did her bowl, even though it was the same food. My wife and I still get a kick out of watcher her "boop" the toy with her nose to knock more morsels out. She will also stand at it and whine if it's empty.

Great for my Border Aussie pup
I have a 4 month old Border Aussie pup who has to be kept busy nonstop. All food is worked for without a food bowl. This helps me a lot. The cons that are in other reviews: yes it has to be turned on it’s side. But I keep her food in a large storage container so this is not a problem for me filling it over the container. Yes she flings food in and around the feeder. But she and her brother eat it all up for the most part. If any is left I do have a broom. I haven’t had a problem with the screws. My pup doesn’t chew on it either. And she is a chewer. She’s around 18 pounds now and understands her head can’t fit under the feeder. This may not be the toy for your dog. But it is great for my dog.

Puppy loves it.
I really like this slow feeder, it is easy to clean. My 5 month old corgi loves it too, because it is like a game for him to get his food. There is only one thing I wish was different, and that is the opening for loading the food. I wish I didnt have to take it apart to load the food. I would prefer the opening be on the top of the wheel in between the 2 sections that have the holes that dispense the food.

Better for small breed dogs and cats.
Maybe better for a cat or very small dog. I have a standard goldendoodle who is 30 lbs at 4.5 months and he scarfs down his food. For his training I am only feeding him out of toys and puzzles to combat boredom. This feeder does help him to eat much slower, however it scoots around everywhere on the floor. He also gets his head stuck under the roller, which is somewhat funny but I know that once he gets much bigger he will no longer be able to use this because he will most likely just break it. (Edit:: I had been using it on the highest setting since he is tall but actually the lower setting keeps him from putting his head through it and it works better for him.) It is easy to put together and is serving its purpose for now but it is intended for small/med dogs and I would not recommend if you have a large breed dog or a dog who is rough with his toys. However it would be much better if the grips on the bottom kept it from scooting so much.

Best gift for your dog
The media could not be loaded. This has been one of the best gifts I’ve bought for my pooch. We work all day and she’s home by herself so it gives her something to do while we’re away. It took about a day to get her to use it. We stuck her dinner and a few carrots in it and sat with her showing her how it worked for about 30 minutes. She didn’t get it right away and just left the thing there. At 3am hunger got the best of her and she figured it out. Now it’s one of the main ways she gets breakfast or dinner. The thing itself isn’t very heavy. It’s easy to put together but note it does travel along the floor when she nudges it. It comes with rubber pieces on the bottom so I’m not overly concerned about it scratching the hard wood. She tried biting it in the beginning but couldn’t get a grip so no damage has been done.Overall, I recommend getting one. I like making her work for her dinner. And to understand size, she’s a 55lb dog and we got a medium. Works great

Puppy's favorite way to eat!
This was a great investment. Our puppy learned to use it quickly and we now use at least once a day with some of her kibble. She loves it!

Best feeding toy to slow down guzzlers.
Have many feeding toys for my 1 year old cocker having been buying them since she was young and this challenges her and slows her feeding down - best one I've found so far.

Not for smart dogs
Good concept. Not for intelligent dogs though. Mine figured out where the treats go in and ripped the rubber cap off for easy access.
