I take this because I have suffered from severe IBS since my childhood and now have some terrible inflammatory pain in my lower back. I had taken the top popular brand religiously before they began to dilute their formula some years ago. Initially when I took black seed oil I’d feel my congested pathways open almost immediately, my pain simmer down and my vision clear. That all stopped about 3 years into the other brand. I’ve purchased 7-8 “pure, fresh pressed, virgin black seed” oils and most are this light, olive oil color.THIS black seed is more like the Egyptian BSO I purchased through a private seller a couple years ago, making me believe it is more authentic. When you watch BSO being cold pressed it literally runs out black, not golden. This oil had a heavy viscosity as good BSO should. More importantly, after the first tsp I felt IMMEDIATE RELIEF.I want to cry.I’m so happy to have this actual medicine back in my life. I don’t take BSO for the taste so palatable is not what I’m looking for - I’m looking for relief. It was spicy, decongesting and anti inflammation goodness.Blessed be!

It came in a black plastic bottle. I would not have purchased this product if I knew it was in a plastic bottle. I took the time to inquiring about it and was told it come in a glass bottle. the taste is somewhat off than the others I’ve used. I haven’t seen any difference in my body.

My daughter told me about the BOD. She's a 7 yr dialysis patient with 0 output and was not having bowel movement. Her doc prescribed meds to move her bowels that causes her to have diarrhea. I've only been taking a few days but my initial impression is a good one. Comparing to one of the top competitors, I really like the texture and improved taste. It's much thicker and richer looking. It also doesn't burn going down. I take 3 tablespoons a day as I believe nearly All supplement recommended dosages are too low. Am hopeful I will start to see some health improvements, particularly cardiovascular wise as I'm not a spring chicken and am always fighting elevated BP, although I'm not on drugs. We will see. I'll update after more time has elapsed.Update: Seller ran out and I needed to order so I tried another BSO seller. Product seemed much weaker (diluted?) so once I finished, I reordered from Madre. The oil tastes like a sunflower oil and not like a black seed oil. It's also rancid.
