FriedrichUSC Wall Sleeve for Uni-Fit Series Models

We were not advised by Friedrich, when we ordered the climate control unit, that installation required a sleeve which was not provided by the company, so we had to go to another source for this product. There were no visible signs of damage to the outer packing when it was delivered. When our contractor was ready to install the sleeve he noticed quite a bit of damage to one side (right-hand), which he tried to remedy. Both top and bottom corners had been pushed in, and this has caused the grating to bow as well. Although he was able to get the sleeve into acceptable shape to install, it is quite easy to tell that this item is still not what would be expected for an ancillary product that cost so much.

i need a Handy man to install it for me and i'm happy with the product. works very well, easy to pair with the apps….exactly what i'm looking for.

Sleeve does not have the length for the units I bought. The sleeve needs to be packed out or in to fit the machine. It's a Uni-fit that doesn't fit. There must be a better product on the market. I am still not sure what's I will do in the winter take the unit out, put the rear cover on and fill it with insulation. I doubt that I could leave it in because it would allow to much cold air in. I am afraid that I will have to buy another sleeve. I will not buy Friedrich products again. And this company has such a great reputation. Moronic design.

This unit took a while to figure out the proper way to install to ensure good drainage and good insulation. However it works.

I have my own Friedrich Air conditioner that did not come with a sleeve.I had use a decent amount of force to get this to fit in the wall. The air-conditioner was able to fit.I will provide an update of my exact ac model.Please measure your hole before buying.

It's about 1.5" wider and higher than the AC so it requires insulation. I felt it should fit the AC it was recommended for
