447130 Mitre Box 250 x 85 mm
C**2
Slanted unfortunately.
The point of a mitre box is accuracy. Just on the horizontal cut one side was 3.75mm in whilst the other was 3.95mm. To some a 2mm slant might notmmatter but to meit is unfit for purpose. Sorry to have to negatively review but it was simply inadequate. I had to cut it myself to correct it but that causes one gap to be subsequently thicker than the other so instead of saving me the time just making one myself with my scrap wood it just cost me £5 to have to do it myself in the end. Also the grooves don't go to the base so you'll end up needing to flip it to do the bottom which is where the lopsided-ness bites you in the bum.

Not To Silverlines Reasonable Standard.
The saw cuts are not square to the base. The retaining screws are directly below the saw cuts. This means that after short time of use, the saw will hit the hardened screw and spoil the saw teeth. If the saw is tipped forward or backward the saw teeth will hit the screws much earlier.

Handy Tool
Good for smaller jobs. Bought for skirting boards which are quite wide so not very suitable. Could be my fault as confused with measurements. Good item for the right job though.

Made from softwood
The mitre box fell apart first day of use. It was joined together by screws which cracked the wood . Its made from. Pine and not hardwood so will not lasting even if it was constructed right . But for a fiver it served its purpose .
