Better, cheaper, stronger—and it works!
Backstory:I’ve purchased no less than eight official Apple lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapters, so I’m quite familiar with their build quality and reliability. I use them every day on my motorcycle, which I imagine is hard on them given all the movement in my pocket. Inevitably, after a couple months or so, the connection on them begins to drop out occasionally and as time goes on it becomes worse until they won’t work at all anymore. At this point, I go to the Apple store and buy a couple more pairs. I was sick of buying Apple’s official adapters and figured it couldn’t hurt to try some 3rd party ones. Maybe they would last longer, and even if they didn’t, at least they would be cheaper.Looking around Amazon, there seem to be a lot of these 3rd party lightning to 3.5mm adapters with varying prices and mix of good and bad reviews, making it quite difficult to know which one to get. Well, I decided to try this one.Initial impressions of this adapter:Both ends of the adapter are made of metal and come with a protective plastic film (I may just leave this film on). Apple’s are plastic for comparison. The cable is slightly thicker than the Apple version, and the rubber housing near the ends (which I imagine is the point of failure on most of these adapters) is thicker and sturdier as well. Plugging it into my iPhone XS Max, the lightning port felt a bit more snug than the official Apple adapter and really stays in well, taking additional force to remove. For my uses, this is great as I would occasionally have the official adapter pull out from the phone if accidentally tugged.Time will tell if it lasts longer than the official adapter, but so far, the apparent build quality looks promising. I’ll update my review if the adapter begins to fail as the official Apple ones inevitably do.TLDR:Works with iPhone XS Max, better build quality than official Apple adapter, tighter fit (good), nice looking, and cheaper!Update:This adapter did last much longer than the official apple one. I think I made it to around 8 months of rough use before this one failed. Significantly better than the Apple adapters which I typically broke after a couple months max. If you’re even remotely careful with this one, I’d expect it to work indefinitely. Will certainly buy again!

Works well. Seems well made
Works well as it should. I’ve attached one to each of my corded earphones. Still have consistently good sound and others hear me well through the mic. Seems well made and durable. So far I’ve only used it for about 3 months. I use it for several hours each day.

Perfect
This allowed me to listen to music from my iPhone on my favorite wired headphones again. Couldn’t be more happy with it. Worked perfectly.

Great accessory, a must have
I couldn’t believe how hard it is to find a lightning to 3.5mm jack that works and doesn’t feel cheap. This adapter is a little thin on the wire, however, it works perfectly in my car, no issues and it sounds great.
