Great for tackle football
My son asked for elbow pads so it lessens the blow on defensive plays. They fit great, don’t slip & have perfect amount of padding. The ‘bubble’ padding definitely looks thicker than the flat elbow padding. For reference I purchased a youth large for my 10 year old son. He’s on the smaller side; 4’6” & 77lbs

I purchased these at the recommendation of my orthopedic surgeon, after having elbow surgery. He suggested these to help pad the area around the scar until it's fully healed. It's been a huge help, keeping errant bumps from sending me howling in pain. Only complaint is it's a little tight around the bicep, but it loosened up with wear.

These are nice. If your child is skinny then the youth medium is too large. They didn't have the XS size but it will do.

My son can’t get them on his arm. Measured and order according to size chart but didn’t fit.
