This book was an easy read

Wonderful book for anyone who has dealt with pain in their life: whether pain from sin, pain from wrong decisions, or pain at no fault of their own this book is for you. This book is ideal for anyone who is hurting and needing to deal with their emotional pain. Sharon Jaynes teaches how to forgive others and forgive yourself. She also teaches how to overcome shame, rejection and turn the bad of your past into a testimony by sharing your personal story with someone else. Each chapter contains a real life story of individuals who have experienced hurt in some way, shape, fashion, or form, however the testify of love, forgiveness, joy and grace as a result of their pain.I highly recommend this book for any individual who is hurting or harboring anger and unforgiveness from the past.

I read this book at a crossroads in my life. I know that the Lord wants to use my story but often times I'm unsure of how that will happen. After reading this book I am ready. I've reached out to a help center and am now in the process of getting paperwork completed so that I can volunteer and love on those who are going through what the Lord has brought me through. This book was both encouraging and a battle cry to get busy sharing my beautiful scars.

I'd recommend this book to anyone. It is well written, thought provoking and helpful. Sharing and caring is what we are to do as believers and Sharon helps guide readers through the true necessity of sharing our past to provide comfort to others who are facing the same or similar situations. She uses Bible verses and stories to share the healing power of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I had read through the book before I knew there was a Bible study in the back. As you read each chapter don't forget to do the study for that chapter.The reading is the cake. The Bible study is the icing on the cake!

I really can't say much about the content of this book yet because I haven't had time to read it, but I really was blessed by Sharon Jayne's book,"What God Really Thinks About Women" and I expect that this book and the other one I ordered-"I'm Not Good Enough..and Other Lives Women Tell Themselves" are going to minister to me and bless me as well.

At the time that I ordered this book, I was in a tough spot in my recovery process, so I wasn't sure that this book would be of help. After I received it, I let it lay for a few weeks & then started to read it. I must say that I'm glad I ordered this book & that it definitely helped me to move to a new level of encouragement to let God use my scars as opportunities to share w/ others & to realize afresh that the Lord can truly be glorified thru all that we live thru. Here on this earth we are journeying in the valley of the shadow of death, yet He promised to be always WITH us...He truly is faithful & suffers WITH us as we live thru our painful processes.

What if instead of hiding away the hurt and challenges we have come through in life, we reached out to help others who believe they are alone and without hope? What if we gave up the shame, guilt, and isolation to truly believe we are free because of Christ's sacrifice? This book looks into those possibilities and more.

Be aware! This book might change your life forever! If you want to stay in your pain and hurts of the past: don't read it! But if you truly want to get free and are sick of trying many different ways: open your mind for this awesome book! It's full of blessings and shows a way to heal your broken pieces of your heart!

I bought this as a gift. The person I gave it to has told me they have found it an easy to read book, and that it has been very helpful.
