Great Time Saver
The Swingline medium duty electric paper hole punch is a real time saver. The machine works exceptionally well and can punch 20-40 sheets easily and efficiently. The electric hole punch seems very well constructed and it should last even in a busy office environment. The machine has literally halved the time it takes to compile manuals for our business. We no longer have to worry about incorrect punches and reprints; this machine is a real time saver.

Perfect!
I have been using this hole punch for roughly a month, and I am happy with the purchase. It is kind of loud, but who cares? It is a "machine". It punches through lots of paper with the most perfect holes ever!! Would definitely buy again and recommend to anyone needing to punch a lot of paper. I use this in a small office.

Great for the office!
Works really well, but I find we have to change out the cut holes pretty often (because we use it too much!!).So far I haven't had any problems and it works like a power machine. It was a little expensive but if you can find it on sale, it's definitely worth the purchase, especially for a small office. It beats having to manually hole punch tons of pages (and saves time too)!

Great but ...
The machine is very well built. We had to tape a paper stand on top of it so you don't have to hold the stack of papers while the machine is working.

Awesome & XLNT asset!
Hey, I’m/we’re amazed over the price of this purchase. Me & another co-worker went 1/2’s to get this. This hole punch is really expensive @ Staples. I found it for more than 1/2 off, in this wonderful Amazon space. My co-workers can’t believe it. This is the same 1 we use in our Records Department. My boss thanks me. S&H fast… Thanks again Amazon

Good when actually New
When new, the Swingline electric punch works well. I've used it in both an office and home environment. My first punch was actually labeled GBC (a subsidiary of Swingline) and bought in 2003. With moderate and careful use, it lasted over a decade. I was careful to clean out the waste tray often and usually punched only about 45 pages at a time at the most. It is so quick that it is no problem to punch an amount slightly smaller than its purported 50pp capacity. Be careful to not punch staples, paper clips or other debris, as you will seize up the punch and there is no means to repair it.The only con to the product is that it can be quite expensive and cannot be repaired. It has a strict 2 year replacement warranty by Swingline. You must present a sales receipt or they will go by the serial number. I would like to warn, I received a used, not New unit from Amazon.com, despite its "new" description. Swingline confirms by its serial number that the product I received was manufactured in 2007. Amz was unable to send me a new unit, so I returned it.

Works great
This is the second one I've purchase for our office. The last one we bought 2 years ago and it's still going strong. We put together a lot of thick meeting binders and you can only use a regular hole punch for so long before it starts to hurt your hand. I even had one employee who used to stand on the whole punch level after awhile because she had so many to do. This is a much better solution. Gives consistant holes quickly. I would purchase another.

Slow
My only complaint so far is that it is much slower than the machine we were replacing. I do like that it will handle 50 sheets.
