Ramayan - Vol.1

About the Content - Content-wise it is one of the best Indian graphic series that I've encountered till now. The art is gorgeous and so is the inking and lettering. I loved how the story sometimes becomes a humourous Lakshman narrative in parts and how it slowly introduces the brotherly bond among the 4 princes slowly instead of relying on this premise like the original epic does.It's a complete re-invention of the great epic with elements of dystopia, anarchy, chaos, corruption, love, humanity, honour and revolution. One interesting aspect is how the storytellers and artists portray the anthropomorphic creatures as human-like beings with human emotions and the antagonists as cyborgs and zombies with no emotions that neither they or others can comprehend (or is it?)All in all its a classic creation in my opinion. Would I recommend it? Hell yeah!!! Anyone planning to have a good time reading Indian graphic work, undoubtedly go for this.About the Delivery Experience - The packaging was nice and I received the book in a good condition. Amazon did a great job in delivering this within a day.About the Product - The book seems to have a loose binding which is a bummer. Characters introductions plot are too hurried are not up to level and thre is a feelling of something missing in the book. I know that it is not the original epic but the way rama is protrayed in this book is only rama not lord rama. Lacking a charimatic personality, puny strenght, looking like a ordinary human soilder eho is mannerful and compassionate and courageful, not properly protrayed . The introductory part of seeta is also hurried lacking the proper introduction to be worth of seeta. The whole story is like it is on run lacking .

Never before has so much vibrance been appeared in Indian comics/graphic novels. Though it covers a little and is the story is told in parts, it is worth taking a look at by all artists and anyone who wants a piece of this amazing story retold.

Only Alex Ross cover art is awesome .....Rest is fine inside, alluring cover art mismatched with the content inside.Overall good book and recreation. If you are searching like these graphic novels then go for Sandman.

Uff...what a reimagining. For ppl who like fantasyand mythology, this is the ideal kler combination. And the graphics are to die for. This is one seriously talented team!!Can't wait for the 4th edition. Hurry up guys!

Excellent graphics and a retelling of the timeless epic Ramayana in a futuristic setting. This is not the original Ramayana, but rather a fictional take on it. Falls in the Dharmic Fiction genre.

The book looks awesome and the images are fascinating. Would recommend this to book and comics readers.
