Looney Tunes: Platinum Collection, Vol. 1, 2, 3

OK, so I'm in my 70's and have find memories of these cartoons in my youth. What a wonderful trip down memory lane! And these cartoons are STILL funny and often relevant. What was a big surprise is the number of cartoons made during WWII, a couple of which I had seen as a kid, but most were never shown on old TV in the post-war era. Very interesting to see how WB used these cartoons to support the war effort. Young generation may not get a kick out of these, but seriously, this is cinematic history and should be preserved. The re-mastering of the DVDs is outstanding; they look like they were created yesterday. Totally worth the price for me!

Shipping was fast. This was a replacement of the first received. The spindle for disc one of two of the three volumes did not hold the disk and they fell off and one of the "swinging door" holders in the packaging was broken. The discs came scratched. However I had absolutely no problem returning the first package, and the replacement was shipped the day I spoke to customer service. The replacements are fine. I just recommend checking on the spindles.As far as the dvds are concerned I'm thrilled. I laughed so hard I cried. I'm now planning on getting theGolden Collection. I ended upwatching them all...or so I thought. Make sure if you view by episode you keep clicking the right arrow. I didnt and initiallymissed some episodes. Theres no listing of the episodes on the box, and no inserts, so you dont know whats on there.

Living overseas, many things my husband and I grew up with, aren't aired on TV. Generally, it's not a big deal, unless we want to share it with our daughter (an 8yro). The Looney Tunes are one of those things, but because so many episodes aired over the years, tracking down a good quality collection is hard. These discs have all of my husband and I's favorites and many more we had forgotten about. To prove the Warner Brothers, and their co-creators, were masters of drawn entertainment who stand the test of time, my daughter has been glued to the TV which is highly unlike her.Thank you to the manufacturer and supplier for carrying these! You helped bring a bit of profoundly missed American culture back to us.

The movies came in perfect condition and that is all I expected thanks a lot have a great weekend

Just as I remembered

Our family loves the original Looney Tunes with Bugs, Daffy, Elmer, Roadrunner and Wiley and a host of others.. Since they are hardly ever shown anymore we decided to buy the Plantinum Collection. We have had so much fun watching our favorites.
