Needed to keep kids away from the fireplace. This fits perfectly all the way around and keeps little hands from getting burned. It is heavy but durable. Easy to open for adults. Very stable.

I bought 2 they worked great easy to install. only thing I did not like was a 29.50 shipping price for each fence.

For the price I'm pretty happy.$30 seems a bit much for shipping but it came fast and took me 10 minutes to install. The lock itself isn't gonna stop a smart toddler but at least I don't have to worry about kids or dogs accidentally getting to close to a pellet store and getting hurt.

This item is strong and sturdy and it’s made mostly of metal so it’s lasted long

UPDATE: I’ve had this gate for 2 months and one of the plastic brackets has already broken, despite the fact that my child hasn’t even bumped the gate. I strongly recommend against buying this product. Unbelievably expensive for the quality (or lack thereof).Assembling this gate was a terrible experience. The metal ends are flared out so they don’t fit into the plastic brackets. It took a whole day to put together because of the long process of sanding down the ends, checking to fit, sanding some more, etc… even then, you have to force the ends in and the plastic brackets break. If it happens more than once, the gate is unusable because there’s only ONE extra of each type of bracket. I was lucky and it only happened once. Once the gate is up, it seems sturdy, and it does the job, but it’s still not worth the hassle of putting it together and it’s certainly not worth the money, since it had to alter the pieces to make them fit. Also, the wall mounting brackets don’t allow enough space for trim and quarter round, so the bottom of the gate sits awkwardly on the quarter round against the trim. Definitely don’t recommend

Got this for our small indoor gas fireplace so that my daughter and dog couldnt run around it or step on the gas hose, it definitely helps keep them out from behind it even with it not being attached to the wall which is really nice.

Super logical to install and it’s of obvious quality! Keeps my 12 year old Maltese doggie safe on her porch and we like that so much I bought a second one for by our back door. I’m really happy and surprised. Anything that makes my dogs life safe or happy is what makes me very happy.

Not a bad product. Decent looking. Fairly priced.Locking mechanism is pretty cheap for the gate.Overall the gate is not very sturdy. The bottom hinges do not lock so it moves with any force. Personally the manufacturer should have used the same hinges in the top and bottom. For our situation I used industrial double stick tape between the hinges and the floor and it appears to be pretty sturdy.Overall I would buy this product again.
