The best SAE 2-pin socket jack out there - great for solar projects!
I had used FOUR different SAE 2-pin sockets. This one is by FAR the best. 12 AWG tinned marine grade wires (all the way through). They are about 7" long. The polarity is correct (red/black) unlike the Zamp ones. I am using it in my solar powered generator and have a Battery Tender Jr hooked up to it. No issues. Solid/snug fit, but not crazy tight. The protective cap has grooves in it for easy gripping. $11 is priced about right. Best to buy a couple...you'll find a use like I did! I did a full review on my Chris DIYer YouTube page if you want to see it in action. hahaa

Nice quality, polarity reversed for an input plug.
Used for my portable solar generator as a charging input. Will plug cigarette adapter and solar panels into it to charge the battery. Nice heavy duty gauge wire with soldiered tips. Polarity was reversed for use as a receiver SAE plug. See photo of it attached to my solar controller and note the reversed polarity.

great connector with multiple uses
This connector works perfect as the solar input connection for a solar battery box, (and I'm sure other applications).Watch the polarity. SAE connectors are great but it is rather easy to make a mistake and get positive and negative switched around if you get cute and are not paying attention. I double check with a multi-meter for some of my more convoluted arrangements. Great high quality product. I've used two of these as the solar panel input connectors on small portable solar solutions. Thinking about getting more to mount on ranch equipment that doesn't have easy access to charge the battery.

Reverse wires.
Great item for my Harbor Freight solar panels. I installed this on the outside of my camper for ease of hooking up my solar panels to my battery. My wires were reversed, red was negative and black was positive. No big deal, the solar system is very forgiving.

Not tinned wire
An earlier review said this was marine grade tinned wire (like Ancor). It is not. It has sloppily soldered wire ends, not tinned wires. However it is a heavy gauge wire. Installs easily and works well

works great.
works great, make sure to connect + to + and - to - not by color to color. This has reverse.

The cap "strap" broke.
The socket works fine but the strap connecting the base to the cap fatigued and cracked off after only being opened and closed 4 times. Most irritating aspect about this is I cannot just replace the cap strap instead I have to rewire a new one. Come on guys! How does this get past quality assurance??
