Easy repair
Easy swap out in our fifth wheel. I carry a spare while traveling as this is a pretty common issue with propane is camp trailers but an easy repair job.

Did not work for me.
I did not have good luck with the Cavagna 924N LP gas regulator which came as original equipment on a new Forest River Flagstaff RV. My dissatisfaction began immediately on our first trip when I noticed a clicking/ticking noise coming from the regulator when using the left tank. When I exchanged tanks the noise continued on the left tank, but only on the left tank. It stopped making the noise when I switched over to the right tank. So it had to be the regulator. I asked several people who had much experience with rv propane issues, they had never heard of a regulator making a clicking noise. Also the red (gas off) indicator stayed red regardless of which full tank I used. Since when opened to the right tank, the system did work (red light and all) without a noise and with no propane smell, I decided to use it on the right side only and thus to continue on a four week trip to South Carolina and to deal with the problem when we returned. And we got back fine. So now I'm dealing with it. In addition to the above issues, the top whiteplastic unit containing the red & green indicators looks and feels flimsy, and feels loose when turned to utilize the second tank.Additionally, Since I was not able to use the automatic change over feature advertised above, it is worth noting that the Forest River salesman told me that it was not automatic, and I have read a review on other Cavagna regulators that the auto feature did not work. So I recommend getting some certainty on that. At least for this model (924N).I have recently replaced the Cavagna with a Camco 59005, modifying the Cavagna mounting bracket to fit the Camco. Cameo, unaccountably, does not supply there own bracket), but that is another story. So far so good with the Camco and I can say that it feels and looks much more substantial than the Cavagna.

It’s junk.
Ours stays green. You take it off the tanks, green. Tanks full, green. Tanks empty, green. If you keep it in the center, it doubles your propane usage. Waste of money and propane. I’m sitting here, in the cold, typing this because we had two FULL 30lb tanks seven days ago. They’re empty now because this thing is just horrible and gives no indication of use.

Crap. just walk away and find anything else.

Missing brass fittings on regulator
The picture of the regulator on Amazon shows brass fittings on each side where the gas lines attach. The new regulator arrived without the brass fittings. I do not want to use the fittings from the regulator I am replacing, so I will travel to a local hardware store to obtain the fittings. In addition, the L bracket is longer on the regulator I received than what was depicted in the Amazon picture. The new bracket I ordered is attached with three screws. The screw holes appear to line up with the screw holes on the old regulator, so I may be able to switch it out. I also ordered the gas lines from Amazon, too. The new gas lines are metal rather than rubber and 3 inches longer because the original lines are in a bind when connected. My three stars are posted because the regulator I received is different than what is on the Amazon webpage.
