Star Trek - The Original Crew Movie Collection (Special Edition)

Ok, so there were stress marks all over the beautiful protective casing and the dust jackets. Soo??? Just means a Trekker/Trekkie got many, many years of enjoyment out of them before finally giving them up to another Trekker, who has again, gotten many, many fun filled, wonderful years of entertainment and education out of 'm! The price was low enough that formerly-homeless ol' me could actually afford them (a few years later), and that was indeed priceless! Boldly go, be young, as when the world was new, and enjoy the Family we all have together! LLAP & PALL! \\//,

It's amazing how something that has technology of the day can wow an audience at the time and then it looks dated in 10 to 20 years. This is an historic set for collectors. I also purchased the newest Star Trek movies (2013) and I'm impressed with the way the writer's and those responsible for casting a new set of actors were able to stay true to the original and blend in the updates to more advanced setting on the ship. The new cast has the same personality traits, accents, etc. Hopefully more movies will be made with Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto as Kirk and Spock!

As a long time Star Trek fan, I had only one DVD from the original movie series. When I found this set, I decided it was time to make a purchase. Interestingly, the last three movies come as a standard DVD, while the first two come as Director's editions and the the third is a Special Collector's edition. While I've not played them all complete, what I've seen has been very good quality of both audio and video.

This is the complete set of the first 6 movies of Star Trek the movies. They come in a very pretty box design to hold the 6 movies. You have to see it just to get how good it is. You get the movie Star Trek the motion picture, Wrath of Knan,The search of Spock,The voyage home,the Final frontier, and the Undiscoryed country. You can start to watch the first movie and then go though all the connections points of the rest of the movies as just one connection point to another. It takes you though the entire story line of the Capt Kirk and his crew from the begnining to the end in the last movie. If you are a star trek fan this is a collection that you must have to enjoy for years to come. The seller is selling as used but they come as if they are new. Great investment.

These Special Edition DVDs are infinitely better than the BluRays because they have all the missing bits in them. Why they did not include them in the BluRays is beyond me. This is my second set to keep as a backup.

Was great to watch all of the movies in a row. I received them before my expected arrival date which was a nice surprise.
