Shake Away advertises itself for deer, but I figured that a predator's odor would work for smaller critters like rabbits and ground hogs. Evidently, that was an erroneous thought. Those blasted rabbits delight in gnawing off the stems of just about everything except the lavender and the groudhogs do their share of chomping, too. I set out these pouches within the recommended distance parameters at a little higher than nose height for rabbits and ground hogs. All was well for two days. The third day I was bemused to find all the pouches chewed open and the powder spilled on the ground. I left the powder there to see what would happen. Later, I saw a rabbit enjoying a rolling dust bath directly on the spilled powder. Sigh. Maybe this works for deer, which aren't my problem. It didn't work for the mentioned lagomorphs and rodents one tiny bit!

We have a huge problem with deer grazing in our flower beds and plants. I put the first one out in a small 24" pot we have dubbed the deer's "Salad Bowl" because of our inability to repel the deer. I put a packet in the pot and let it activate/ work for a little over 2 wks before planting as recommended. Deer ate every plant on the second night after planting. Waste of money.

After two of my dogs were viciously attacked by a raccoon that got into my fenced backyard I ordered this and hung a bag every 20 feet along my fence. There are 4 bags in each box. I also used the Shake Away crystals from the manufacturer (this wasn't available from Amazon). Not taking any chances as it's taken over a month for my dogs to recover, and they each weigh over 75 pounds. I believe they would've been killed if they were a small or even medium breed. This product was highly recommended from several articles I read about keeping raccoons out of my yard. I also close off the doggie door after dark! I will definitely replace this every 3 months as recommended.

No deer have come near my plantings. It's over 30 days and I live in a heavy wooded area with large deer population.I highly recommend !

I like the Shake-Away Coyoted Urine product. It is very effective at keeping deer away from plants. I have twice received the wrong product. Twice I have ordered the 4 individual packs and twice I have received the wrong product.

Something bit into bottom of sack & pulled off the limb. Another still hanging but bite marks on bottom of sack.

They seem to work pretty well we live in the country so dear are liberal in attacking our yard

Well, it sort of worked, but we must remember that our deer are quite determined. The shake a way did in fact deter them for about a day or two but they finally made their way through and ate what was left of my plants. I must remind you that our deer here in our development are protected and mostly fed by many of our residents, which leads the deer to feel that anything that is outside is there for consumption and how dare anyone put anything out to tell the deer that they are not welcome. In a normal setting I'm sure this is a perfectly good product.
