GROSCHE Barcelona Borosilicate Glass Teapot with Stainless Steal Infuser, 1000ml/32 fl. oz

This item seems to be well made, and the infuser mechanism is quite nifty. However, the tea pot suffers from a common problem, in that the lid does not fit securely. When pouring from the tea pot the lid will simply fall off, potentially scalding the user with hot tea. I have returned other tea pots for this same reason, and it seems to me that this is a fundamental flaw in the design of an otherwise good item. The only way around this is to hold the lid in place as the pot is poured, which in itself is an imperfect solution. I like the design of this item, but reluctantly I am returning it to Amazon.

The glass is more that sturdy enough to withstand multiple pourings of boiling hot water. The mesh and steel tea holder can easily store enough tea for 32oz worth of liquid to be fully infused. The construction of the teapot is sturdy, you can turn it upside down when cleaning and the glass remains attached to the base.The only thing that prevents a five star rating is the lack of a press to fully Darin the liquid from the leaves - I know the description does not promise such a press, but every time I use it, I think about this minor flaw. So I thought it was worth mentioning -- overall, my rating is 4 1/2 stars.

Loved the one I got for my home, got this model for the office. A fellow office mate like it so much, he ordered one as well.

I'm a tea lover and have used my tea pot every single day since I got it. What a great buy. Better than going to a tea store and spending more than double for same product.

Nice design, easy to clean, the size is just right for the family of 4, very practical infuser that can be pulled out and attached nicely to the lid.

This teapot looks great on the product photo. Its got the whole 'sophisticated European' look down pat, except its made in China, and it really shows when you see it in person.With a name like 'Grosche Barcelona', you know what they were going for from the get go. Sophisticated, modern, European, are all good adjectives when describing the pot. The pull out infuser, the build-in coaster / stand, the hard angled handle are all strikingly handsome. The design of this teapot is definitely punching above its weight, and you'd think its well worth the asking price based on design alone.Except, the devil is in the details. When you are holding the teapot in your hands, quite a few flaws will show up almost immediately. The stainless steel has a cheap finish to it, the glass seems uneven, the seams are misaligned and soldered together haphazardly, the plastic portions did not bond evenly with the lid, the infuser cutout had sharp edges, the bottom coaster / stand do not rest on a flat surface evenly... the list goes on and on. Basically every problem a made-in-China product stereo-typically would have, this thing had (and yes, it's made in China).In the end, this teapot had a killer design that's well worth the asking price (it does look great from afar), unfortunately wrecked by its many, many manufacturing flaws. If you are not picky, I suppose it's still a decent product, but for me, its not good enough.

The product looks pretty but I have found the following shortcomings with it: the cover does not fit tightly on it, which I find inconvenient especially if you spill hot beverage also the tea dispenser wobbles once you fill the teapot above a certain point making handling or pouring impossible without taking the cover & dispenser of. Also, the sieve lock is poorly made and feels like it may snap off easily. I would not recommend this product

This item serves its function but it is far from a quality piece. Looks like something you would find at your local dollar store.

Excellent product, is perfect for my Jasmine tea.
