I did not know what to expect with this. I bought it for my daughter with long, straight, fine hair after watching a YouTube video. It works surprisingly well, although it is not very easy to use. Do watch a video-- there are several online-- as the printed instructions are a little hard to understand. You will not get tight curls from this, although results vary with hair type. But for a little wave and body it's pretty effective. I did not find that my daughter maintained the wave very well but we dried her hair without much product as recommended. It's possible that a styling product would improve results.One tip: You are supposed to be able to let the rod that the hair wraps around inside the air tube move freely, but I found that I got better results by holding it in place with a finger. The "cyclone" created around it will wrap the hair around this rod without creating a tangled mess!

Can be a little tricky to use, but I like it. I have Medium-Long very fine hair (just longer than should length hair here!) but have also used this on my friend's verrry thick shoulder length hair. Dry your roots, separate your hair into small chunks, put your hair in the tube (with the stick in place for bigger curls, without the stick for tighter curls but also takes longer to dry). Once dry, can run your fingers through or brush it out. Curls last all day with no product. I had a friend teach me how to use this, so I get the other negative reviews about it being complex, but it's actually pretty cool once you figure out how to use it. And practice makes perfect!

This tool works really well to make beautiful more natural looking curls than you could ever get with a curling iron. I really love the look it produces.My complaint about it is that it doesn't actually stay on my hairdryer, so I have to hold it on there with my other hand as I'm styling the hair. And let me tell you, it gets HOT. I have to wrap a washcloth around it to hold it. But it makes such nice curls, that it's worth the difficulty. Just wish it stayed on my dryer like it said it would. I think my barrel is more tapered than others so that is why it doesn't stay on.

I couldn't wait to receive this product. Finally an item that will give my hair realistic "beachy" waves. Not the case at all! In fact, just the opposite. I followed the instructions exactly as written and was sadly disappointed. The results - straight hair with a few, and I mean few, waves. Waste of money.

After purchasing this product I can say I wasted my money on a cheap piece of plastic. It does not really curl so much as it "twists" the hair into a knotted mess. I don't recommend this product.

It is not easy. We use it once and it is a two person job.

Does not work on fine, medium hair

For me, this product was a 5 star, but for the general public it would probably be a 4.Really, it only works when using a professional grade blow dryer with a diameter of approx 2in (mine is 1.75in and works great) - if you try using a less powerful blow dryer, it won't generate the results you want. Also, not all blow dryers will fit in the opening.Also, different hair types may not see as good of results. I have straight, long, thin hair that has NEVER stayed curled. I have used every trick, product, and tool in the known beauty world and nothing short of getting a perm kept my hair curly in the past. Right now, I'm writing this review and I did my hair 4 hours ago with the forstyler and my hair is still curly with NO PRODUCTS! I do also split my hair into 6 to 7 sections vs. 4 and then I don't have to dry it as long and the curls are tighter and stay in longer. The smaller the section, the tighter the curl.The instructions are kind of confusing, I'd recommend watching a video as that helped me a lot and took away the learning curve - it really is super easy to use if you watch a video.The final part that I don't really like about it but is just the nature of the beast is that the valve that changes air directions and allows you to curl your hair facing different ways, gets a little loose when heated (it's plastic and the air coming out of the blow dryer is really hot) so you have to really make sure the valve is facing the right way just before you turn the dryer on. Once the dryer is on it stays in place. Your hair will still curl if you don't do this it just might not be in the direction you'd like.So basically, for me I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, however it isn't perfect.
