Elegant Looking, Works Great, Love It!
See my review UPDATES in the comments below this please.I have osteoporosis, spinal stenosis, spondylosis, and constant stress in my shoulders and back.I purchased mine through lymphaticvibration, but they had me deal directly with vmaxfitness for questions and issues. I received mine 5/1/2014 and have the 2014 model, so it's too soon to see how it's helping my osteoporosis, but I did go in for a bone density test in May and when I take another one next year I can see if there are improvements.I use the machine on the lowest settings because going up to 20 is too much power for my damaged neck. But on the lowest setting, I do a few of the exercises. For stress "massage" I face the machine on my knees, and put my hands or forearms on the pedestal and let the vibrations "massage" my neck and back. (Never put your neck, spine, face, chest directly on the pedestal. That is one of the warnings.)When exercising, I stand facing the machine and take turns doing isometrics: squats, squats on one leg each side. Face machine, knees on floor and pushups on the pedestal for arms. Lay on my back on the floor, put my feet on the pedestal, one leg or both and do crunches, or butt raises.I feel like I'm toning up and looking better. My stomach has flattened. I haven't lost any weight, but muscle weighs also. Along with this I also began a healthy plant-based diet.It hasn't helped my insomnia yet, but there have been days when I have slept through the night and maybe this is part of it.My daughter uses it and says her PMS cramping hasn't been nearly as rough this first month after use. Which again could be attributed to the diet as well or a combination.Pros:It looks great in my living room. Very pretty. Not ugly and unsightly. I have solid wood floors and keep it on an exercise mat.It is not loud at all, like some I've seen on youtube are just so loud you couldn't use it if you wanted to have a conversation or listen to music. It does make a sound, but is a soft sound.Support was great: my first pole had a problem where the right dial would only go up even when turning it down. I could turn it off and reset it, but it wouldn't work going down while the machine was on. So I sent in a request and they shipped out a new pole. I didn't have to pay for anything under the warranty. The pedestal platform is huge.Cons:I don't like the pedestal surface. It is very rough. I use a blue exercise mat anyway, so that I can do pushups from the floor and those laying on my back exercises on the floor, so I just put my exercise mat on the pedestal and let it lop over the front edge where I'm lying down. You'll need a mat anyway, to do those things so it's not a big issue. Even when standing on it, I use the mat, but with tennis shoes you wouldn't need the mat. But if you go in socks like me you'll want to stand on at mat most likely. My daughter doesn't mind it though. The price on here is high. Even the vmaxfitness website has the price much lower than the $3195. that is listed here at the time of this review. It is listed for $2468. And it looks like they have financing there.Mine was on backorder as there were dock strikes and such and it took a month to get here, but worth the wait for a machine this nice.My sister told me about whole body vibration machines. She got a less expensive model and it runs a minute then shuts itself off automatically and she has to press a button with her foot to start it again. They call that a "benefit" to notify you that it's time to change position. Puh! With the Pulser you can set the minutes, you can setup custom programs, etc. and it will run the whole time and have a second countdown so you can see that you've been doing this for so long, etc. I'd be so annoyed to have to turn it off and on.I've seen others with annoying bars running down to the pedestal. There is no way you could turn sideways or do side situps or anything with those bars in the way. So pay attention to everything before you buy one of these types of machines.I did a thorough review of all available WBV machines at various price levels. I watched a ton of youtube videos. This is by far the one to get if you can afford this price range.I will update this post in a year (if I think about it) and let you know how much I improved my bone density test.
