I've used the big white molly screws before and they are okay but a bit large. These work perfect and are a great size and price. One held a hanging light fixture as well as a hanging planter from a ceiling with no issues at all. I like that the silver round piece covers the hole in the ceiling. They could easily be painted if needed to match your decor. Will purchase again when needed.

Hanging a heavy bird feeder from the vinyl ceiling of my back porch was a long-time conundrum. Squirrels kept jumping on the feeder which I had hung from a hook screwed into the vinyl and pulling it down onto the porch floor. The screw needed to be inserted into a wooden joist but I didn't want to take down the vinyl to locate a joist or insert a suitable wood support between joists. After doing some on-line research I learned that I could hang the feeder using a toggle bolt ... one that has "wings." And so I ordered these from amazon. I followed You Tube video directions....drill a hole big enough to accommodate the size of the toggle bolt, push the bolt into the hole until the wings expand and lock into place, then twist the hook until it tightens against the vinyl ceiling and the metal "wings.". It took less than three minutes to solve a problem that has been bugging me for 30 years. Lucky for me the package has six toggle bolts because I have five other heavy objects that I'd like to hang from ceilings. And now I know how to do it. Hand me my drill!

Really easy to install into the ceiling. It is currently supporting my hanging plants in macrame hangers. Only thing I wish is that the hook didn’t spin so much but other than that great product for a really good price!

Would have given 5 stars but it came with a defective one. All the other ones were fine. Works really well and holds a lot of weight.

Perfect for hanging plants wherever you want!!

I used it to hang up a fruit basket in my apartment – I needed a 1/2” drill bit to make a hole large enough for the metal toggle. The hole is big, and honestly scared me a little, but the washer covers the hole up completely. It’s been 5 days since I installed it and the fruit basket is going strong! I‘m making sure to keep the weight of the fruit under 20lbs – don’t want to test fate.

Update: I returned the item and decided to give this product another try. I saw all the reviews and thought maybe I was sent the wrong item. The second shipment was the item advertised. No issues with the product thus far. Easy installation.-----Either I received the wrong item or I’m meant to try to open up this hook myself. Either way, the product is not what I expected. I need to use this to hang up a set of lights and I’m not entirely sure how pliable these are to open the “hook” up more. However, if they are pliable then they may not be as durable as I had hoped.

Really happy with these hooks. Small profile, simple, modern look. Do the job just perfectly and practically disappear.

We bought those to install plant in the ceiling and they are a blessing. It works great and look great and it was so easy to install!
