Warrior Wisdom: Inspiring Ideas from the World's Greatest Warriors

I have always loved quote books and my favorites have been quotes focused on the warrior philosophy. I have read, reviewed and have in my personal collection numerous warrior quote books. This one (Warrior Wisdom: Inspiring ideas from the world’s greatest warriors by Sammy Franco) is my most recent purchase of warrior quotes. I was pleasantly surprised at how many quotes in this book I had read for the first time. Some of the many historically famous people quoted in this book includes: Alexander the great, Archilochus, Marcus Aurelius, Napoleon, Julius Caesar, Genghis Khan, Audie Murphy, Yagyu Munenori, George Patton and numerous other important historical figures.This 212 page book is organized into nine chapters dealing with a wide variety of topics, which include the following: Courage and fear, leadership, loyalty, tactics and strategy, honor, self-control and perseverance, wisdom, faith and belief, miscellaneous but memorable and quotes from the author. There is also a short biography of the people quoted in this book.If you are into the combat and warrior arts you should check out this book. I found “Warrior Wisdom” to be a fantastic read. As you may be able to tell, I have reviewed many different martial arts books on here. I have purchased books from all different styles. I don't hold back punches and believe that one of the strengths of amazon is the review section! Having said that, this is one of my favorite books!This is a book that you will be able to read in many different moods and for many different reasons. It is a great read for those days when you need motivation to train, a little pick me up, some words to put life in perspective, or just to learn from warriors who have been there and done that!It is also a book that you will be able to get great quotes from when giving presentations, talking to people at the bar, or when writing papers of your own! Sammy has done the leg work to get all of this stuff organized, categorized, and centralized for your reading pleasure! I'm stoked to have this book and you will be too!

Classic wisdom restated by the author. There are no great revelations or emphasis of an epiphany by the writer. Written in modern times with very little interpretation.

Excellent collection of quotes from warriors throughout history in one book. Note: I typically will only purchase books that are well known and highly recommended, I thought I'd take a chance with this book with the low price. I'm glad I did. It is excellent.
