doesn't provide good odor control, still has dust particles, not impressed
I was disappointed with this litter. It doesn't provide good odor control at all and doesn't clump well. It has less dust than other litters, but still has dust. I'm going back to my other litter.

Awful Litter - Don't Waste Your Money!
This litter tracks worse than any litter I have ever used. On top of that, it is very dusty. But the worst thing is it's lack of clumping ability. I suckered in on this because of the big write up about it. Sounded wonderful. When you try to scoop, a majority of the pee clump just breaks apart into little tiny pieces that fall through the scoop. I suffered through one bag of the stuff, but am going donate the other 2 bags to my local shelter. I found it totally unacceptable and unusable with my cats.

By far the best cat litter I've ever tried
I was a little skeptical at first, but Feline Favorite is probably the best cat litter I've ever tried. I have 3 cats of my own (long story) and live in a house with someone else's 2 cats (even longer story), and I have had the chore of cleaning up after those 5 cats for years now, so I think I know a thing or two about it. Not only does this litter live up to what the description says, I found while using it that there were other benefits they didn't even mention. I will try to get to them all here as I give each claim a grade.ODOR CONTROL / NO ODOR: A + - This might be the first thing you notice about this litter -- there is almost no odor whatsoever coming from the litter itself. It doesn't smell like 'pine' or 'wintergreen' or whatever the other chemical deodorized cat litters are supposed to smell like; it doesn't smell like anything at all. There was no odor when I opened the bag, and more importantly, there was no odor when I emptied the box a few days later. I did notice a very faint kind of dusty smell, but only when I was emptying the box and was literally right next to it. Apart from that though, there is really no odor to it -- definitely no cat waste odor, but also none of the fake chemical 'cat litter' deodorant smell that just tries (and usually fails) to mask the really bad odor. Unfortunately, I've noticed that when I hold my cats, they often had that weird pine-y deodorant litter smell on them, even when they are far away from their cat boxes, so I am loving the fact that I don't have to smell that everywhere they go.FAST CLUMP / HARD CLUMP: B+NO MOISTURE / SUPER ABSORBENT: A - I can't speak for fast clumping (I didn't sit there timing it or anything!), but as far as hard clumping, it is just as good as advertised. Probably the worst part of emptying cat boxes is having clumps that did not really harden in the box and so they fall apart when you're trying to empty the thing. That basically doesn't happen at all with this litter. There was nothing stuck to the walls of the box, or the floor, or anything falling apart at all -- just hard clumps like little rocks that are super easy to scoop. Which brings me to a couple of the benefits they don't really mention...SAND-LIKE TEXTURE: A +SUPER EASY TO SCOOP: A +NO MESS OUTSIDE THE BOX: A + - This is the best part: the 'zeolite' mineral looks and feels like sand -- very, very fine grains -- so it gives almost no resistance at all when you scoop it. I was testing Feline Favorite out along with the normal litter (we have multiple boxes for multiple cats), and I found that when it came time to clean up, the Feline Favorite took almost half as long as the normal stuff because the scoop just goes right through the litter like a knife through butter. And since the waste clumps hard and tight, the only thing the scoop catches are the clumps, so I was able to clean everything out much faster and easier than usual -- about half the time it took me to empty the other box. Not only that, but one of the biggest problems I have is that my cat-cleanup chore is actually two chores in one: cleaning and emptying the boxes, and then vacuuming around the area because of all the litter that gets tracked/spilled out of the box. When I went to check the two boxes this time, the normal litter was of course a giant mess, but surprisingly there was NO mess at all coming from the Feline Favorite box. My only guess is that since the grains are so sand-like and fine, it doesnt get stuck in and around the cats' paws like other litters, so they don't have to shake it off or track it all over the place and cause even more of a mess. So between the super easy scooping and the no outside-the-box cleanup, it takes me about 5 minutes to do this chore instead of 15 or 20 like before.LASTS LONGER / LESS LITTER BEING WASTED: B+ - The only reason I'm not grading this an A is because I haven't had long enough to judge it totally, but because of the sandlike texture and high absorbency (if that's a word?), Feline Favorite also seems to last longer because with the fine grain, there is less good, usable litter going into the trash with the waste. I have emptied the Feline Favorite box a couple times now and it seems to have practically the same amount as when I first filled it. This is important because the price for 30lbs of Feline Favorite is usually slightly higher than 30lbs of my old litter, however it is looking like I don't have to buy nearly as much of it to do the same job. If I had to guess, so far I'd say that Feline Favorite is lasting about 3 or 4 times as long as the normal litter. The ad says that it should last 5 times as long, so I think they are right on this one, and in the end, when you're buying litter for a house with 5 cats, that saves a TON of money. It looks like it is available right now as either a single 10lb bag, or a 3-pack... 10lbs - Feline Favorite FF10 Premium All-Natural Clumping Cat Litter, 10-Pound Bag 30lbs - Feline Favorite FF30 Premium All-Natural Clumping Cat Litter, 10-Pound Bags (Pack of 3) I would recommend the 3-pack (30lbs) because it is less expensive per bag and you get a lot more. Besides, I'm not sure 10lb is even enough to start with -- I started by filling the empty box with 2 of the 10lb bags, then used the 3rd bag as a refill a week or two later).ALL NATURAL / LOW DUST: B - It says Feline Favorite is a 'low-dust' formulation. I saw a little bit of dust kicked up when I first filled the box, but not nearly as much (or as irritating) as the typical litters. Also the litter is 100% all natural and non-toxic -- no artificial chemicals, deodorants, etc. -- so although my cats aren't exactly sickly or anything (I do call my older ones wheezy and sneezy because one has asthma and the other sneezes a lot), I feel a lot better knowing that they aren't breathing any weird dusts or chemicals or whatever grown in a lab somewhere. [Note: see update below]CATS PREFER FELINE FAVORITE: B - I couldn't say for sure that they 'prefer' it -- my cats seem to like the new stuff just fine, but there wasn't a mass exodus to the Feline Favorite box. However I'm guessing that they enjoy the more sand-like texture since it is easier to walk, dig, and bury, and it doesn't get stuck in their paws like other litters. They took to it right away and have continued to use it more and more since I first filled the box.OVERALL GRADE: A - What else can I say? I've tried lots of fake, deodorized smell-masking litters that call themselves 'Fresh', as well as automatic litter boxes with 'Crystals', and none of them have worked very well for me or my cats. Feline Favorite is super easy to scoop and leaves little or no mess to clean up after; it last much longer and saves a ton of money in the long run; and best of all, it leaves no chemical deodorant 'cat litter' odors in your house or on your cats. It's the best litter I've ever tried and is already making my life a whole lot easier.[UPDATE 12/17/2012 -- Still using this litter a few months later and I still think it's pretty great. The only other thing I've noticed since my review is that it can get a bit dusty if I start to scoop kind of faster/messier than normal, but as long as I'm not doing that I can hardly notice any dust at all. It's still much easier to scoop, better and harder clumping, sticks to paws less, MUCH less smelly (plus no chemicals or funky 'pine-scented' deodorants), and lasts WAY longer than any previous litters I've tried, which includes seemingly every type of Fresh Step as well as the hilariously-ironically-named World's Best cat litter. Seriously I bought a couple 30lb boxes of Feline Favorite from Amazon MONTHS ago and I still have a 10lb bag or two left that I haven't even had to use yet!]

Great odor control, price is too high for it doesn't last long.
I have fostered hundreds of cats and have used many types of litter including clay, coconut husk, pine, corn, wheat, paper, crystals, and now zeolite litter (Feline Favorite). I paid about $24 for a 10lb bag on Amazon. I was willing to pay this high price because the product claims to last as long as 50lbs of clay litter, as well as eliminate odors, and be a "Low-dust formulation". After this trial I am going back to World's Best for the indoor box, Feline Pine (for the cats who will use it) for the laundry room box, and Tidy Cats unscented traditional clay litter for our outside boxes as the cats seem to love this litter but it needs to be emptied daily as it has no odor control ability.Unfortunately, 10lbs of Feline Favorite product didn't seem to last even as long as 10lbs of clumping, clay litter, let alone 50lbs. They don't specify which type of clay litter Feline Favorite is 5 times better than, but with 50lbs of either type of clay litter (green, or baked), you are going to get far more mileage, than with this zeolite product. And with clay you might even get LESS dust. I found the zeolite to be pretty dusty. The upside is the little crumbs that track everywhere, do not make a slime when mixed with dog drool so this product can be used near dog water bowls with no problem. That is a huge bonus for us and it's gets a star for that.It doesn't last long. The 10lb bag filled the box up about 2" and in 4 days the box had only 1/2" of sand. The remaining sand had many little crumbs from broken off urine clumps so in actuality there was less than 1/2" of fresh product remaining. With clumping clay, I would normally only lose about 1.5-2lbs (3-4 urine clumps and the litter that sticks to 2-3 small poops) of fresh litter per day. The claim "Stays fresh and clean while lasting 5 times longer than clay litter" is at least 66% false as only one of the claims rings somewhat true.Zeolite doesn't clump very well and I had to scoop carefully to keep clumps mostly intact. Even with careful scooping, many little clumps broke off. After scooping, the unused litter is comingled with dozens or hundreds of mini urine-clump crumbs but they don't stink so I suppose you could still call it "fresh", but it's a stretch. I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and assume that I may have gotten a bag which was already too saturated with moisture to clump well and that's why it crumbled. It may also be that our coastal home is too humid and that this litter became semi-saturate prematurely and therefore could not clump well when the urine contacted it. Our boxes get scooped 4 times a day so sometimes the clumps are still a bit wet. These damp clumps are the ones most likely to crumble. With clay litter the fresh clumps stick together well, but also stick to the scoop leaving a rescue so it's a catch 22 comparing these two. With zeolite, the scoop didn't suffer much "goopage". There didn't seem to be any ammonia odor (even if I missed a bottom clump (more like a pancake with this product) and it sat and dried overnight. The product tracks a lot, but I wouldn't say it's any worse than any other litter. It does stick to bare feet for a longer distance because it is fine and lightweight. It's not quite as fine as beach sand (the San Diego variety) but is more fine than the finest clumping clay litters I've seen. If a litter stays within about 5' of the box, I am pretty happy as I haven't found any that don't have about the same effect. Another positive is that if our dogs eat Feline Favorite, or the cats lick it off their feet, it could actually be beneficial and certainly won't be harmful in small amounts.I like the product enough that I would use it with a tighter clumping litter hoping to get the best qualities of both or a livable medium but I don't recommend anyone pay $24 for a few days worth of litter. If anyone tries this in combination with a better clumping litter, please let me know how it goes in the comments section. Thanks, and good luck to all you pet lovers.

Clumps weil but dusty
This is an excellent product with one exception. It clumps very tightly, and the small, sand-like grains are perfect for my older cat with tender paws. It also reduces the odor very well. The down side is that it's very dusty. My other cat has respiratory problems problems so I won't let her near it, but it works for what I needed.

cement on bottom of pan
I used to use another zeolite cat litter called Desert's Sands. It was a wonderful product, but sadly noone carries it anymore. In my very spoiled siamese's old age she has become very fussy about her litter. She also has a corn allergy, so world's best cat litter is out but it would be my first choice. The good:no odor unless you have not scooped for 2 days, and that's only the urine.antibacterialThe badIt goes very quickly. One bag lasts 2 weeks, maybe.it does not clump very well. There are always bits left.It tracks everywhere. The worstIt took me 30 minutes to an hour to clean the bottom of the pan after dumping litterIt was like cement!!!If I could find another sandlike zeolite litter get that instead.
