VolcomMen's Frickin Drifter 20" Chino Walk Short

So modern fit means you must have skinny legs. I wear the same Volcom waist size in my surf trunks, so I figured the fit would be the same, wasn’t even close. The shorts fell above me knee and while they fit at the waist, my thighs were skin tight which made the pockets jut out, not a good look. I am no place kicker or world class sprinter, but I bike, skateboard and played soccer for 20 years, so I still have some muscle there for an old dude. If you are thin in the legs, they should fit fine. I went with the one and only Hurley 21” chinos in the same size and they fit great.

I ordered the charcoal Volcom Men's Frickin Drifter 20" Chino short. I have other Volcom shorts in the Frickin' Chino style, and they are just a bit too long for my wife's liking. She wants more leg, like everybody wants more cowbell. The Frickin Drifter is the ticket! I'm 5'11", 165lbs, built like a professional athlete (Tyson Fury), and these things fit my 34" waist perfectly. Snug on my thighs, but not "Tight"; fitted on my seat and crotch (don't forget underwear unless you're into advertising sausage). Nice tough material, with just a little bit of stretch. Perfect shorts for going out in warm weather, casual restaurants, or doing activities like golfing, fishing, these are the perfect beach vacation shorts for when you're not in your board shorts. If you like more modern styling, not baggy, but not nut-huggers, this is a great option and I would highly recommend to cool people and maybe even nerds.

I really love these shorts. So much so that i have ordered all colors. Grey and khaki fit true to size but the black were like one size to small. This is one thing that frustrates me with amazon clothes. The supposed same size in different colors will fit differently. Anyway, i like these shorts so much i will just order the black ones in a larger size. ie 34 instead of 33. (i live outside the USA and it is not worth the time, energy nor money to return).

I bought a pair of these for my husband for Christmas; he said the fit and style was comparable to Vans shorts that he owns in a similar style. The length was slightly above the knee, but not too too short. I got him a 33 and then fit well!

These seem to be pretty durable and liked the fact that they don't hang below the knee or balloon outwards like many shorts. The weight is probably best described as medium to medium heavy so not the lightest for really warm weather.

It's hard to find a good pair of well made good fitting shorts. These fit me great, are well made, and look good. Everyone is different but the cut and fit of these was perfect for me. I bought a few different styles of Volcom shorts but these were they ones that fit best so I bought another pair. I recommend them!

I'm a slender 5'8' and bought the waist 30 option. The pants could have been a bit longer, because it's snug in the thighs and rises up easily when you sit. The material is nice and the black colour is rich enough, but it will attract dust very quickly.

Me gusto mucho el short, pero creeo que no son originales ya que tengo otros productos "Volcom" y en todos tiene la etiqueta "genuine" en rojo que se ve en el short cafe pero el shor negro que encarge en esta publicacion no lo tiene. Y otra es que la etiqueta en donde marca la talla del shor se despego a la primera lavada ayer me llego y hoy lo lave y se despego, muy mal.

I was very worried that the size 30 waist would be too small for me, and that they would be too long and I wouldn’t like the fit. But, everything was perfect. They come just above the knee, and they’re nice and slim. Not baggy. Very modern and stylish. I am 5’9”, 168 pounds (fairly muscular/fit)

Volcom says these shorts are 21 inch outseem, amazon says 20.. they are 19 inch outseem. The size 31 is also size 30. They fit small and are too short. Good luck finding proper size

I wear a 34. This size 34 was tighter in the waist and leg. Runs a little small. Also the fabric used for the inside pockets is black, except for the left side, front pocket. For some reason white was used. The white is noticeable when walking and sitting down. The pocket scrunches up and exposes the inside ,white fabric. Poor attention to quality.

Pedi mi talla usual y me quedaron perfecto. Me llegaron rapido y la calidad y acabados son buenos.
