The centrepiece of this craft is the bark of the banana plant. The bark is manually extracted, processed, split into ribbons, twisted by hand made into spindles in high intensive process. It is made by the women artisans of Chitradurga, Karnataka.The uniqueness is that these fibres gets stronger and newer when the water is sprinkled on it. Size is 6.5" L x 9.5" H x 1" B.
