Best Bible story books we have
Buy this book. And then find the book about Jonah and Whale by this same author. Best Bible story books we have. Thick hard pages, beautiful colorful illustrations. Straight to the point accurate Bible stories with nothing unnecessary added (Detail wise). I only wish this author made these books for every Bible story , not just two.

Lovely Illustrations but...
I have mixed feelings about this book. On the plus side, it is an oversized board book with lovely illustrations that are sure to engage young children. On the minus side, some of the writing gave me pause. Specifically, "Noah and his family were good. Everyone on Earth was mean and selfish. God decided to flood the Earth and start again. But he wanted to save Noah and his family". I read it and thought, "what?". I realize a board book is going for a young audience in most cases, but when we talk to our children about "don't be selfish, don't be mean to your sister" and that is part of their daily language, then they hear that God decided to just kill everyone and start over...if I had read this in a store, I would not have bought it. Yes, I know about biblical accuracy and I'm not trying to make it nice, I think there should have been more of a definition of "evil" rather than "mean and selfish". Maybe some will think I'm nitpicking, and be fine with it, but that page ruined this lovely book for me - and the rest is lovely.

No Scripture in the Book
Noah's Ark by DK and illustrated by Giuseppe Di Lernia is a beautifully illustrated version of this well-known Bible story. The pictures span across the entirety of each page of the book on inside and out. The colors are rich and the imagery catching for listening children. The illustrated character emotions of the people in the story don't seem goofy or over the top cartoon like however, they are somewhere in the middle of not being incredibly life-life either. The book is large in size so an ideal space would be on display on a bookshelf or to take place on a coffee table. The board-book pages are quite sturdy and likely will take a lot of usage from children. Since the book is so well made it would be great not just for home usage but in a place like a church library or classroom that can lend itself to many to use and enjoy.Let's talk about this version of the story. There are many varieties and takes on the story of Noah's Ark. This one follows in the way most variations do. It's kid-friendly and there are no scary scenes. The story starts with introducing Noah and his family then following with God's command to build the Ark. The people laughing and mocking is included as is the gathering of the animals, the time on the ark, the searching for dry land, the settling back on the land after the flood, and a scene of the rainbow in the sky from God to promise to never flood the earth in such a way again. I wish that where the story could be found in the Bible was printed on either the front or end of the book. There are zero Bible verses or word for word scripture in this book. The story is easy to read. I didn't find myself stumbling over words. I feel young children around ages 5-7 could read this book on their own depending on their reading level. My children have enjoyed reading and looking at this story. So many of their favorite animals can be found within the pages. Overall, they have learned the importance of trusting, following, and enduring in God.

Nice Size, Great Illustrations
This is a large, beautiful board book. The illustrations will capture children's interest. The story was told faithfully from the Bible story. The only drawback for young children is that this story says God decided to flood the earth because everyone but Noah's family was mean and selfish. It rather paints God in a bad light. Everyone on the earth but Noah and his family deserved to die?If I were writing this for young children, I'd just say a flood was coming, and Noah listened to God and built an ark even though everyone else laughed at him. I'd make the story about listening to God and obeying God as Noah did. The others could have seen what Noah did, and decided to build a boat, too.I'd make this a story more about how God protects us when we listen to Him/Her.Great illustrations, but you may want to skip a few sentences for young children so as not to scare them.

Great quality and beautiful! Love the Noah’s ark story!
One of my most favorite stories of the Bible stories is Noah’s Ark. I watched multiple movies, read multiple books, and I am so happy that I have this children’s book now too. I am happy because I can read it to my 2.5 year old.He loved it. He loved the pictures on it. They are so vivid and bright. The book is also quite big so it captures the bigger beauty. The pages are very hard and very thick. I loved that. Each page has a a review sentences and when I read it to him I always add my parts to it.I highly recommend this book for any child that loves book, and a parent who loves to read to his child. Excellent quality and beautiful!

A bright and fun board book.
Noah's Ark is a fun big book and great to read to small children, or for beginning readers to try. The book is quite large in size and a bit larger than a piece of paper. The pages are made from cardboard. The large size and board pages make the book robust and fun for small children. Moreover, the illustrations are colorful, resemble cardboard cutouts, and are large. The story is a very simplified version of Noah's Ark. It covers the broad theme of the story and does not come across as overly religious. We are a family that isn't particularly religious and found the tone perfect. All in all... a great book, that teaches a classic lesson.

Perfectly fine telling of Noah's Ark
This is a fairly straightforward retelling of Noah's Ark with some gorgeous art. The prose is nothing special, but clear and tells the story well.Of course Noah's Ark has always been a bit of difficult story for me theologically, it has God killing people for their sinful ways and then seemingly regretting it with a promise not to do it again. Which is hard to square with God merciful and just nature. And I do worry that our kids will ask questions I can't really answer, even to my own satisfaction. But our kids enjoyed it and it's a nice book to have on their shelf.

A very beautiful book that tells the sorry of Noah and the flood.
A very beautiful book that tells the sorry of Noah and the flood. The illustrations and wording of the book are perfect for younger readers. The pages are thick cardstock for easy page turning. A good read for Sunday school or introducing young readers to bible stories. My only criticism of the book is the lines "Noah and his wife went out onto the deck of the ark. Some animals squeezed onto the deck, too. They all smiled at what they saw." Although a personal opinion, I don't think animals smile and therefore cheapens that moment of the story.

My kids love reading this book
My kids love reading this book. The pages are colored perfectly and the colors are super vibrant. It's a really good read along book and the pages are pretty thick and the spine seems super strong. Especially when the kids are fighting over who gets to turn the page, it really holds up. It is kind of long and normally we read it over 2 nights. It's 28 pages and 24 of them have words. It's a good sight word book and my kids actually ask to read it. Highly recommend

This book has amazing illustrations that tell the Biblical story of Noah and the Ark. The story is told in a simple, easy to understand way that is appropriate for preschoolers. The illustrations are very colorful and expressive, and children will love looking at them and telling the story in their own words. It is a large board book, so it is easy for preschoolers to handle and turn the pages. An absolutely beautiful addition to your child's library.

Perfect Book for Toddlers
This is a beautifully told and illustrated children's book, made of quality and sturdy cardboard, which should last through many years and many children. Noah's Ark is such a timeless tale in our culture, and can be found in many of the world's religions. Because the book is so sturdy, it can be read together with even very young children (toddlers, too). I think it's wonderful, and any little tyke would happy to receive this book as a gift, as well. It's very precious.
